I dont think I should eat popcorn anymore.

I had some last nite before bed and I threw up. Had some this morning (a new bag) and the same thing fuckin happened.

Wtf? My stomach has been upset but usually popcorn settles it.

I can barely keep my coffee down now Sad

Weird. I wasnt drinking or doing anything yesterday that would make me puke or get me sick.

Its just weird because whenever my stomach is upset, I eat popcorn to settle it.
Not butter laced popcorn, non buttered popcorn. Kinda has the same effect as plain crackers do.

I dont know why it made me sick....weird

1) how old is the pop corn? has it expired?
2) Could be the greese in the bag. (microwave popcorn?)
3) Something you might have drank with it. Might have not went well with the chemicals in the popcorn.
4) what brand?

the popcorn is brand new...i bought it on thursday or friday. it hasnt passed the expiration date.
It could be the grease maybe, the popcorn didnt pop all the way and the bag was pretty greasy. And there was alot of butter...and like i said, I dont usually eat popcorn with alot of butter...either minimal butter or no butter. But the store didnt have the no name brand that i usually buy. I had to get Oreville Redenbaucher (sp).
Still, ive never yacked off OR before.
And I was drinking milk with it, like i always do. Whenever i eat something dry and or salty, i drink milk with it.
I drink alot of milk aswell. Milk quenches thirst so good and is so refreshing. I know it wasnt the milk that made me sick

Its weird too. When I yacked, alot of the popcorn was stille whole...even tho i know i chewed my food Laughing Yellow yack but with whole bits of popcorn...really really weird.

milk and grease maybe? Neutral

Try it again. But w/o the milk. Then try it with the milk. Then try the milk with something else. Cook greasy pancakes. Eat them. Drink milk. See if you puke.

Get down to what caused it. Cause you might end up not eating popcorn anymore if you think you’ll puke next time. Very Happy

If I eat all that I'll puke. My stomach hasnt been feeling good since. The upper part of my stomach (the diaphragm area) is feeling like shit and like it wants to push something out.
Im sipping water.

I have a Dr's appointment tonite too. I dont feel like i have the flu or anything. Just my stomach feels rotten

yeah man, I've noticed the same thing ... the older I get, the harder this greasy shit is on my stomach Sad

The smartpop type stuff is a little bland, but fuck, better than feeling sick, and it still takes care of the munchies all the same Smile

That is what I wanted to see. 12 grams of fat is alot. That is half your days fat for an average person. 3 table spoons isn’t a lot of popcorn and I bet people would eat 2-3 times that amount in a sitting.

I don’t touch any microwave popcorn, 3 or 4 individual popcorns and I eat them slowly.

If I eat it I make it in a popcorn maker with nothing but some salt.

A lot of the time if you eat something sold as low fat it is misleading because the calories are through the roof. Both calories and fat have to be low.

I am scared I am going to break my teeth on popcorn.

@Syco
Maybe try some of those premium soda crackers. Lot of people eat them if they get sick. Chewing a bit of raw ginger helps too or make some tea outta it. If you are puky. Sad

@Pistol, did you know popcorn is a whole grain? heheh I actually didnt until today Razz

Quote:
Popcorn is a whole grain food which makes it a high-quality carbohydrate source that is not only low in calories, but a good source of fiber. This means it takes longer to chew and makes you feel full longer. Compared to many snack foods, popcorn is low in calories. Air-popped popcorn provides only 30 calories per cup. When oil-popped, it contains only 55 calories. Even drizzled lightly with butter, it's only 90 to 120 calories per cup. Three cups of popcorn counts as 1 ounce equivalent whole grains.

not the worst thing for you Smile

I know, it is quite good for you exp. because of the fibre. I still wouldn't touch microwave popcorn. It full of chemicals and preservatives. I think of it as overly processed.

I googled these ones:

Perfluorooctanoic acid (teflon in the packaging) Carcinogen
Piacetyl - chem that causes lung disease or is thought too.
