As some of you are seemingly unfamiliar with the TA concept of building, let me share some tips.
Most important: Units can assits eachother in building. Or assist buildings in upgrading etc.
Basically a build action is nothing more than chanelling mass and energy into the newly built item, until it has all the required mass and energy. Each builder has a rate at which it can channel these resources. If you order a unit to assist, it will also start chanelling resources. The more units you assign to assist in building, the faster it will be done.
The items with long build times were supposed to be built with lots of builders at once.
Keep in mind, that every unit assisting in building increases the mass and energy drain, so take care you do not suck your storages dry. If it is energy you need, it may be a nice idea, to send a bunch of engineers into a forest and tell them to patrol there. If the energy storage is not full (which it likely if you have energy shortage) they'll start to harvest the trees in teh forest for energy.
So even the biggest unit or buildings can be built in a few minutes if you have the resources to build it with like 20 L3 engineers.

Can anyone point me to a link where I can download the 2.0 beta client not the 2.7? Or how i can downgrade the 2.7 release to the 2.0 one?
My friend has Radeon 9250, he can't run the game he gets GAL exception error, but that's an error that did not occure in 2.0. So if anyone can help me it would be highly appreciated.

Pizda2 read all the topics, it's a 'common bug' especially if you set the screen res to windowed
Just delete your game configs and it will work (it's under documents and settings)

Yeah I told him to delete the game configs but he says there is nothing in documents and settings of Supreme Commander.
What exactly is he looking for and what exactly should he do?

Put /window 1024 768 in the SupCom command line. !!!(after the quote's)!!!
Like this:
"C:\Program Files\THQ\Gas Powered Games\Beta\Supreme Commander\bin\SupremeCommander.exe" /window 1024 768
That sould do the trick.

Ive found out these slow downs some of us are having are due to soundcard issues. If you are having slow down issues update your soundcard drivers. If no joy still try disabling the sound, shitty with no sound but will be more playable.
Disable sound using /nosound at the end of the shortcut to the exe

Man the game is soo slow.. running @ 1600x1200 no shadows no AA.. just crawls badly. I'll check out the sound (mine is onboard with the P5W DH and have 0 problems with other games). Since this is beta its understandable this can happen.
As for the game.. unsure yet.. The teasers looked 10,000x better and everything feels "plasticy" and "rubbery" (especially when building units - that silver blob). If I can get the framerates up then I can fully appreciate.

Another thing I read was that the old .lua file you replace should be removed from its original directory. It doesn't make much sense to me, but people said the old file is still being accessed, even when renamed for the purpose of backing it up (I think backing it up is probably a good idea for any future patches).
Other than that, is anyone having issues with the terrain, or more specifically, resource nodes? When zoomed out fairly far, I can see areas on the ground where you're suppose to place metal extractors. However, when I zoom in close, I see nothing on the ground that suggests there is a metal deposit there.

I'm quite happy with the game except the rubbis performance
I tried with nosound and it's a little better .. but not much !
My system is Amd 3500+ , 1gb ram , 7800 GT 256 mb and should be able to run the game well all on maxed in 1280*1024
Instead after 10-15 minutes of play run like shit even on 1024*768 with everything on low or disabled (3-4 fps)

It doesn't do the trick, he gets an error saying he needs pixelshader 2.0 vertex. He has a 8.1 card.
I blame Epsilon for this.

Whatever I try the crack don't work, can only go play online (read can't).
Where is that pref file I should delete? It's NOT in my documents.
EDIT: Found a pref.lua file IN the "cracked" lua.scd file (open with winzip) but tried to delete it and still don't work.

OMG guys.. you do not have to delete anything from the scd files.
The preferences are stored in the profile directory for the windows user.
That is something like C:\Documents and Settings\JohnDoe\Local Settings\Application Data\GasPowered\...
Substitute JohnDoe for your windows profile name. Keep in mind, that Both Local Settings and Application Data folders are marked as hidden (maybe even system), so you do not see them unless you have the show hidden files option turned on in whatever file manager you use.
Simply delete the GasPowered folder, and the game will create it again next time you run the game, with the initial - hopefully correct - settings.

I would have loved for that to be true, unfortunatly it isnt.
C:\Documents and Settings\Baleur\Lokala inställningar\Application Data\GasPowered\SupremeCommander\replays
Thats the ONLY folder there, a completely empty folder structure, and there isnt any other folders or any other files being created regardless how often i start the game or if i create multiple profiles ingame and change or leave their settings at default.
Even tried launching the game via the GPGnet client and then changing the settings once a game had started then leaving.
Thats why most of us complain, we arent stupid. There just is No file what so ever containing our preferences, not even if alt-tabbing with the game still up and running!
(yes, that includes hidden files, doh)
You can always just .rar up YOUR profile settings file and put it on rapidshare or something, instead of telling us how to make it appear when it doesnt work
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 RAM: 4gb Kingmax DDR2 800mhz Video: Asus GeForce 250GTS 1gb Sound: Asus Xonar.

No Baleur 'you' are mistaken, that is the right path, if you do not see it there you must have done something you shouldn't have.

Just run the .exe file from explorer instead of using the shortcut
