The number one game publisher in the world is Electronic Arts.
The number one company that has the most highly rated games is Electronic Arts.
This is a business kid, making games is not about art, it is not about pleasing the demands of everyone, it is strictly about making money. It is a business. EA Publisher follows a strict and well planned business plan which they impose on their developers. The developers do make the game yet they are not the ones behind the wheel. The publishers want money for the simple fact that is is a business.
Most people will never understand such simple facts;
Publishers and Developers along with the Game Industry.
We're not in 1991 anymore.

Well, amen to that. Like everyone doesn't know that duh. But about the most highly rated games. What the fuck are you smoking? We can dismiss EA Sports. Nothing good ever came outta that shithole. And as for NFS. It's install>play>complete>throw away. I don't know which "most highly rated games" you're refering to.

EA did publish The Sims and The Sims 2 as well as Battlefield 1942, Vietnam, 2 and 2142, Need for Speed and Burnout.
No matter how good are these games, they are still top sellers. It is the goal of a business after all; to sell.
Everybody will buy Need For Speed: Carbon even if it's total shit simply because it has "Need for Speed" stamped on it and that is how a good business works; get your product known enough for people to blindly buy them.
all in all, I admire EA for their business skills.

I'm actually thinking of going there. EA is opened to creativity compared to Ubi where they only buy licences and their only original product is Rayman which is built somewhere in France or Rumania and not at our studio.
Note to self: come up with a good sig.
