on my x850xt i found that changing af from 4x/8x/16x to trilinear increased performance alot and didnt hurt visuals too much, since the textures are kind of ultra-detailed by themselves already. i use 16x af for every other game but DM doesnt seem to like it

Yeah, I'm a graphic whore. Aaah, so that's why I enjoyed playing Planescape: Torment yesterday for five hours at 640x480 on my 19" LCD (1280x1024 native resolution).
Is it so wrong to expect good visuals sometimes?
Meh, I'll wait for NWN2 now. This game felt too much like Oblivion for CS-kiddies. (JUST KIDDING!)

Awesome, maybe you can write their next readme while you're at it too.

How about instead I give you exact filesize?
7,634,550,784 bytes

Doing a checksum for a 7 gig file will take more than a few mins.

TO GET THIS TO WORK!

You need:

Pr0t-Stop

Install the game with all emu options on in the NEWEST DT4. Yes, theres an update. Use the Procyon loader, and use Pr0t-Stop to hide your virtual drives. It works perfect.

from what ive read it works ????

Yes, the pr0t.st0p + procyon.exe method works great here too. No need to disable any drives etc.

Heh, using the cs.rin newest steam.dll I managed to download/play this on steam, but to avoid damaging the account I just took the exe and created my own crack using some steam files.

Plays perfect now. Wink

i got the same problem with dmomm, stuttering game. i think 2gb ram could solve this problem easily, too bad i own an amd64 s754 clawhammer ... buy new ram is complete stupid, cause i will buy a am2 or core duo 2 in the near future.

i will try the 'heap'-command when i leave the office, in approx. ~10hours >.<

Pr0t-Stop "hides" drives, optical AND (!) sata drives. i had to hide my drives with prot.stop, use the securom loader, wait the "magic" securom symbol appears and then i had to "restare" my drives with prot.stop, or my system will crash at loading screens, windows wouldn't boot correctly.

Why all this trouble to get the game running. Use pac-steam. I just started to use it. Its very simple. Just install it and it will run like a normal steam. You can download all steam games for free @ best possible speed (for me!) Updates are also automaticaly downloaded. No more worries about cracks and so Very Happy. Only thing you have to do is when you get a steam error you gave to download the newest pac-steam (you can just install it over the old one). Works great Exclamation Laughing

Only problem is, there's a possability for someone to put a steam account stealer in there, or put in a virus or trojan.
If I knew it didn't have any of those things I might give it a try.

First you have a virusscanner to detect malware (not 100% safe). Secound there is a official forum and there the new clients are posted and tested so many people get the file to test it. if it is not working/virus etc... then it will not be posted or it will be removed. And as for stealing steam acounts, thats no problem because you don't use a valid steam acount. Just a blank steam acount.

Yeah a blank steam account with pacsteam, I get it. That just stops Valve from banning your normal account, like they did with HL2 and that exploit they had.

What I was referring to was it looking to your normal legit steam install location and stealing your login/pass info from there.
And something like that would NOT be detected by an anti virus.
Kinda like those supposed cheat things for diablo 2 or WoW that steal your account info.

The thing is, Pacsteam is a Steam Client itself. You don't have to have Legit Steam installed at all for it to work. Sure, your theory could still be possible, IF they had it installed, but why would someone who programmed a program that REALLY lets you download and play any game on steam for free, want to steal a legit steam account for?
