yo! No way in running FEAR. The game runs whenever it wants! But MOST of the time i get a pixelled, flinky lines, polygonal mess, flashed shit and other things worth for the Gosthbuster, on my screen. It all starts by the title... (first screen) then the menu is completely crapped as described... what should i do?
sys specs: Athlon64 3200, 2 GB RAM, ASUS 6800GT (last drivers), AUDIGY 2 ZS GAMER (last drivers), winxp sp2, NOD32 antivirus, Norton Ghost running in the back.
some hints plz!

You have the latest Bios and Drivers for your Chipset....sounds weird maybe but I had some probs with ...cant remember now...maybe COH and updating those fixed it.
And did you update those drivers YOU mentioned after installing the game? if so reinstall and install the game again maybe...only shooting in different directions here.

Try disabling overclocking if any and if that doesnt work, replace the vid card.

gonna try the BIOS thing...
vid card should be fine... every other heavy game runs smooth, full detailed (Prey, the only other fps i have installed)
and yeah. i have go cautiously with installing the new drivers (and in a clean install) before installing the game.
fun, the other game that has give me similar problems, was Empires at War, (that rts from star wars universe, at the beginning of the year). but there i was able to "see" the menus, and therefore by starting or loading a new game, problem was gone.)

Prey is too generic, its basically the same as doom3 or quake4 and its opengl, try more of directX games.
