Looking for something that won't crash every 10mins, Won't display random errors, that won't crash when attempting to encode a simple peace of video. I'm also looking for something that has a nice easy to use interface so I don't have to spend 20mins setting the thing up before it crashes once again because it uses about 200GB of RAM...

I'm not looking for anything with the word "Adobe" I use both windows and linux, So if theres a good linux video editor then that will do.

personally i would choose adobe after effects for most tasks
totally from another universe with software quality from the awfulness of premiere

sony vegas video is simple and capable
it's an ex-sonic foundry product, which were all good

Go for Sony Vegas, it's very high end. Very Happy You'll need After Effects for adding effects and such though.

Ok, I personally use Premiere and After Effects but I also have used Avid Liquid and I'd say it's the next best thing I've been able to download.
