It's been a week, patch notes say 24/10. Hopefully Razor or RLD have some ppl at it. I guess we'll see the cracked patch within a few days from now.

I tought I saw in the razor nfo, that they said they will only release a new crack when they feel that the game has been patched enough. And I don't think it has.

they said they will crack it again when the game matures more.. As far as i can see there is hardly any process.. Wait untill a major patch comes out

as i mentioned earlier - 3/11 is the polish release date
iam still almost sure taht they will use something different that tages
(all jo wood games published in Poland had different CP that their official versions)

Probably as helpful as norwegian

Difference is that we Norwegians stick to english text and audio......... |
just copy the english_pack and you will have your Eng game |

Allways buy a game after properly tested (demo and/or scene release), never on hype alone. I can't name one developer that really deserves to be payed before actual results are apparent. With the shit storm of shit games lately, do developers/publisher really have to wonder why people turn to piracy? If it's not for the outrageous prices they ask, it's for the unpolished, bug-driven pieces of shit they call products!

Have you even read the changelog for the patch. It fixes loads of things.
That 'unofficial modification' just takes away the stun animation, including the stun animation for enemies. Meaning both of you just swing away with no interruptions, it makes the fights look and feel shit.
The patch changes the animations for the animal enemies, stopping them from repeatedly attacking with no break.

Someone else in this thread already explained that the unofficial patch fixes the stunlock by removing the stun animation. This means you AND YOUR OPPONENTS, cannot be stunned anymore and thus has more negative effects than positive.
The 1.08 patch fixes more then just the stunlock, and you could've known that if you just took the time to read the patch notes.

Hey guys first post here.. I've been trying to post this for a week at least. Damned rule that new members cannot post.
THE WAY TO RUN A PATCHED 1.08 GOTHIC USING RAZOR'S CRACK...
Uninstall your current gothic.
Save all of your Save game files in a safe place.
Reinstall gothic from daemon or drive of choice.
install the updated patch 1.08...
Save the "DATA" folder in another location.
Install the first 1.07 patch (can be found online still)
Copy over the Data folder to the directory.
Install razor crack.
Bam! done.. Playable uninterrupted (except for memory save.. but there is a handy application in german that takes care of that and frees up 100 megs when you need it most.
Playable Gothic 1.08, using Razor patch..
Enjoy!

MY ABOVE METHOD WORKS, AND IT IS CONFIRMED BY ME TO DO AWAY WITH THE ARMOR BUG AND STUNLOCK
Game is great! Just have to stomach the unoptimized code I guess. Now.. when they release the next patch that hopefully fixes the mem leaks, it'll be back to square one =)

I don't think any group will crack 1.08, they'll just wait for the USA release. The next patch is supposed to fix combat, I believe JoWood will release that on USA release date.

Hey all! Glad you're all able to enjoy this great game, amidst the bugs.
It's called G3Starter Mem tool. It's a german application, and I originally found it on the Gothic 3 forums.. i'll try google for it, as it shouldn't be too hard to find. If that doesn't work i'll come back and post the link.
It lets you specify how many Megs of Ram you want to set aside for release upon your request. The recommended is 100.. Then you click the start butten and it starts G3 for you.
If the error happens just alt - tab to desktop and click the second button down called Speilcher weilber somethin or another and retry.. works every time so far for me.
