Dont see this anywhere in here so thought I would mention it:

Gamespot review - 8.6

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/neverwinternights2/review.html

worth noting: Stability: Stable

"-Compelling story will keep you hooked for the entire 50-plus hours it takes to finish the single-player campaign"

and all the bad points are nothing major:

" -Frustrating camera requires constant attention; steep system requirements for a game that doesn't look particularly good; the artificial intelligence doesn't always cooperate."

Wow a good rpg that doesnt have 10000 bugs in it and includes a good story...I didnt think that was possible anymore.

What is the AMD equivalent of a 3.0GHz P4? I have an Athlon64 3400+ @ 2.41Ghz

I have the 1024mb DDR. HDD space isnt a problem and my videocard is a 256mb 6800GT. I guess I meet the requirements but my system is struggling with games these days.

Any A64 is superior to a P4 3.0ghz for gaming.

I thought this had multiplayer in it? Does it not? I keep reading things like "single player portion of the game" which makes me think there is a multiplayer portion, but IGNs description says "1 Player" and nobody has really mentioned Multiplayer yet. Anybody know for certain?

If it has multi in it, Ill give it a go, but I just installed a 20 GB game!!!! So space is a little limited at the moment. The game in question IS multiplayer (massive one at that) and happens to be an RPG.... hmmm.... damned NDAs.

Ofcourse it has multiplayer, why else did they have a MP only beta and have added a DM client to the first patch.

20GB game? Flight Simulator X?
(On a sidenote all my emulator/rom games take up 106 GB and contains over 200K games)

Ok game runs fine on my asus laptop A6J (intel dual core + 1g ram and ati x1600) on max details except shadows low at 1280x800 so I'm actually surprised.

My only problem is i'm trying to enable AA and it wouldn't let me, even if I force it through the ATI control panel, anyone having the same problems?

So far I'm still playing the tutorial but looks like a damn quality game to me (I also didn't know the clone was multilanguage so I got it with french voice overs which is nice) can't even compared the quality to the buggy pos called gothic 3 Twisted Evil

EDIT : and I agree with some people about the controls which are quite clunky, feels like controling a robot hehe

I've made a classic warrior, worshipping the god of Helm, I'm lawful neutral!

The character creation could have been better but I guess people will create more faces and hairstyles Smile

Also I have to say I'm impressed with the armor designs, just from taking a look at the different classes seems like there can be some variety.

Yeah finished reinstalling right now so going back at it, only problem is camera controls but will see if patching the game helps^^

Oh and please be careful with the spoilers on this thread. Gothic 3 thread was kinda ruined by that (and by the game itself)

Give us screenies, please Smile

Haha so funny browsing the official forums it's so full of trolls and whiners, take a look at this one :

"Atari , shame shame shame on you, I know alot of you guys worked hard but the grhpacis are awfull.
I'm so disapointed I'm going to return my copy, I knwo you or eb won't take it back but for the first time I get to test our my credit card's 30 day guarntee.
when they ask why I'm returning it, i'm going to say fruad, I was told it was a new game when appartnly someone took a dump in a box....

okay sorry to be so harsh but there is no way you guys sat back looked at this thing and went .. damn ,, nice...
no way...

to people thinking to buy ,, sad as it sounds the screenshots are BETTER then the in game grhrapics, your charecter control as far as options for hair, face ect are beyond laughable, there are all of 4or 5 hair choices..... not all hair color are given ...
no body type choices

the game would of been bad 2 years ago , today it's an insult

anyway guess this is a rant, just so disapointed that becuase the game is a one shot for $50 you feel okay to rip people off, and like sony I will not buy bioware ever again, and will make sure to tell my freinds and game pals to stay from bioware and atari games

god, what a crappy game"

Argggg the patching takes forever!!! Want to play Very Happy
