i also cant find this bonus patch. Installing this doesnt give you cheats does it? the cheap weapons isnt a cheat is it?

I hate cheating

It's not on Atari/NWN site and not on any sites like 3d gamers or gamershell either.

Bonus patch is for pre-orders, called the Merchants Friend or something. this means you get a special item for each class, and a discount on normal weapons in the game.

The bonus patch is on GameCopyWorld as mentioned earlier, you'll find the site quite easy I suppose.

Checked the items out in the DM client, most of them are decent +3 items with unique names and ok enchantments.
(There's about 50 items so I didn't check them all)

EDIT: One for each class? wonder what the items I checked were then...

EDIT2: Nothing about new items in the collector versions aside from one unique weapon per game version (Lawful good and chaotic evil)

It adds a merchant wich you can use to buy unique weapons (Full price probably) and normal weapons at a small discount.

Similar to the Planescape and Icewind bonus discs for Baldurs Gate 2 wich added a few weapons to the marketplace shop.

EDIT: Perhaps it could be seen as a cheat, if you sell to that merchant.
(Buying the special items would probably cost alot - haven't found him/her yet)

this would be classed as a cheat then wouldnt it Sad because it makes the items/weapons in game cheaper.

EDIT: The preorder version I can't help with aside from saying it's out there.

Installed game. Patching. My girlfriend walks in and looks at the updater and says "is this the game you are gonna play?"..I answer yes and she says "Bad graphics".

I laughed my way thru the update process =]

Your NWN 2 install should be around 5,5 gb or something. During installation of the patch it grows to around 12 gb... soooo...

You need some hdd space for the patch to work properly. After the patching it becomes around 6gb btw, so no need to worry about that Smile

Ive seen mixed reactions all over the net...
I think all games have become SHIT...Huge over zealous crap games...

Im going to get TDU and Stalker , but dont know about the rest...

It's on the 4th mirror. Select the mirror with the url that starts with m00001 or something. Link to NWN2 game is on the frontpage... When i looked, i clicked on mirror 2, but it's not available yet there. So the other ones are outdated i guess... :S

Ah ok, game isn't added yet on all the servers, but the content is.

Please can you seperate the tool set from the game so that it can fit onto dvd5?

Yes, it is empty, but you can't you just get it through the auto-update thingie?

I haven't installed yet so totally forgot about that feature. Some people on here report problems with it tho. But since Gamershell don't have the patch I guess I'll give the autoupdater a try as soon as the game is ready installing

I've checked all the major sites, and the patch is nowhere to be found... Fileplanet doesn't have it, GamersHell doesn't have it... :S Let us know if the auto updater works if you've got the release, please!

mhm game as far i see can support max lvl 60 Smile

go to C:\Program Files\Atari\Neverwinter Nights 2\Data\ini.zip

open eg. class_fighter.ini and you could see that it has 60 possible lvls but only 20 are fully described with bonusses Smile

After installation you can choose to patch the game... It's downloading the patch right now so that problem is solved. Now let's hope the patch works Smile (patch is ~80MB)

edit: It's patching, but damn... it's only at 3% after 3 minutes of patching and the gamedir has already expanded from 4gig(?) to 8+gig right now because of the patch...

edit2: After the first 10% it goes a lot faster, patching completed. Make sure you have enough diskspace to patch, my gamedir went from 6,4gig to 11,2gig... but went back to 6,4 again after the patch.
