Alright. I HATED Neverwinter Nights. With a passion. It was ugly, boring, and did I mention ugly?
So far I have played through the tutorial, and I have to say, this game is actually quite solid. They brought back the full party system. The camera is a lot less constricted; you can rotate around and see a fair distance into the surrounding area.
I don't know what people are bitching about, the game has a very nice graphical style to it. The art direction is very consistent. The world is vibrant. The character models are very, very well constructed and anatomically correct. It still has a bit of the flat, Lego-esque feel to it because of the multiplayer, player-created-content focus, but there's still a lot more terrain variety and non-angularness (haha) to the world considering. A shit load of detail, too. The armor design is some of the best I've ever seen in an RPG period.
Anyway, it's still the same old D&D bullshit otherwise, so I probably won't spend a whole lot of time with it. But if D&D is your bag, this is definitely worth downloading or even buying.

Applying the patch took 2 hours, not the download but the rest. Then the Merchant friend bonus thing doesnt work since i dont install games in the default directory, ever, and there is no option to search for it. Ghey imo.
Anyways going to try the game out now.

Just a theory but couldn't you just copy/move your files to the default dir, then apply Merchant friend bonus, then put the files back in your custom dir?
Or do you have non-standard drive letters and all that as well?
ie: Local Disk (D ?
EDIT:
changed Patch to Merchant friend bonus

1. Unrar.
2. Burn or mount with Daemon tools.
3. Install the game. When asked for a serial use the following serials:
4. Copy the cracked files located in the Crack directory on the CD to your
installation directory.
5. Play the game.
Doesnt say so in the nfo

works for every game
1.load the dark_messiah with daemon tools with emulation-all options on,dont run the game, exit it.
2.go to start->run->regedit->hkey_local_machine->system->mounted_devices
3.find in here your daemon tools virtual drive(for me its \dosdevices\G: ) and rename it to
\dosdevices\G.h:
you can put any letter not only the "h"
4.run the game without any loader
5.have fun using old trick
who needs emu tools anyway
