I readed on the ubiforum that more have problem with the shangai level!

just updated my bios to 1016 and i went a bith further ingame but still crashed Sad

Dont understand people how say game is shit , not optimised ..or like an old Splinter cell.

Mm 800*600 > all option On / High with HDR (no AA) > ive got 20/30 fps.
here a bad quality movie with my numerique Cam-picture to see fps in game with this config.

The problem is that the game doesn't support 1680x1050, or 1920x1200; two VERY popular resolutions!

The problem is that the game doesn't support 1680x1050, or 1920x1200; two VERY popular resolutions!

True no 16:10 for us with dell 2407wfp

Yeah, it's some kind of Shadows-n-lights-101 difference or some weird thing. But it's supposed to look that way.

I'm starting to believe it is indeed a beta... I mean, it's not polished up to the most ridiculous levels: The icon of MP is still UE icon, so is the icon of SP minimized. As much as I'd like to ridicule Ubi for such shit, it smells not retail to me (read: I'd strongly like to believe it isn't).

Also, check out this dialog. It's from the SP exe.


Don't know... Strongly hope this is beta.

The Reason it plays like a beta cause its a port from the Xbox360. And its a terrible job at it.

Also the game has Wide Screen Support. go look at the res tab. I have the Xbox360 version and the training mission is like that for anyone wondering.

Well, SC1 was a port of the original Xbox game, and it was perfect for its time! Sure it had a bug here and a bug there (on a level or two), but they were fixed quickly. PT was a disgrace, didn't like it at all. SC was amazing. DA is crap.

Hm, do you see a pattern? Both PT and DA (X360 and PC versions) were created by the shitty UBI Shanghai... Perhaps they are to be blamed!

For people having problems with the safe cracking in the hotel level...Just click the mouse and spin the mouse wheel while pushing the arrow keys and it will start to work...happened twice to me

SM2.0 compatability apparently:-

No 3.0? no problem...


For those who dont have a SM 3.0 supported card, and want to turn it
off and use SM 2.0... search for this file in your Spinter Cell folder:

SplinterCell4.ini

open with wordpad, then find the line ...

SimpleShader=False

edit this line, change false to true, save the file, and you should have SM2.0 or shaders off.

um the PC already owns the Xbox360. but for 400$. The Xbox is quite a bargain.

can someone check in thier splinter.ini what they have for nummber in ShadowResolutionDegree and ShadowTurnOffDegree becuse i have 0 in both of them and my shadows is reealy strange
