compared to BG or "Icewind Dale" the fights seem to me far more easy (standard difficulty) ??. I almost never have to use manual control to bring the baddies down. Is the game getting more difficult in the story progress? (I am about Lev. 6-7 now)

I suggest playing on Hardcore Rule diffiulty, the fights become intense and hard.

btw, I'm curious how many chapters are in the game, anyone know?

3 main chapters, 1 finishing chapter.

The end chapter is not that long, but it's the nicest part of the story imho

This is not the official standalone patch, but rather the autoupdate version that the in-game updater automatically downloads. Keep the zip file in your main install directory, no need to extract, disable your internet connection and start the autoupdater, it should recognize the patch and install it automatically.

NOTEThis patch needs you to have 6gig of free HD space.

Not the official standalone patch? So there is one? And it does the same thing?

I quite like this game. It reminds me more of KOTOR than I thought it would. One thing that bugs me is having to level up and equip other characters. Id sooner just do myself and that is not to be taken any other way than the way relating to the game and this current discussion lol.

I was really quite gutted when I created my character and was unable to choose the Divine Champion class. Sad

Has anybody got that problem, too?:

I am playing a chaotic neutral character. In dialog options with choices of "good" or "evil" I get in the message window sometimes the following message

"Your action have shifted your alignment x points to good/evil/chaotic. If you continue this way you will not be able to advance further as an druid (my char. class)"

Does that mean, if I am "too" good/evil/chaotic I cant continue the same class when I want to level-up? What is going to happen then? Do I have to choose a different class? I dont like that.... Evil or Very Mad

When you unlock a class, I guess you have to start the game again to use that class, right? Sad

Cool! I guess you have to gain specific achievements to unlock the specific classes?

Uhh, no. You multi-class it like you do any other combination in DnD except prestige classes are generally a little more powerful than a normal class but require you to meet prerequisites to become them.

If you have downloaded the reloaded version, you've gotta wait until there's a crack available. But you can't rely on reloaded to crack every patch in the future. It's better to get a clone, maintain an "unmodified" installation, and use every patch that's released in the future while loading the game with the loader.

Thats no problem - did it the same way:
install - update - download maxi-image at GCW - mount maxi-image in DT4 - use protstop to hide - start exe (with or without procyon loader - some need it, some dont. I did not need it)

Which is why people humping reloaded's leg sickens me. Sure they quickly crack a few games, but from what I've seen there is often a clone out first (not every time) and they don't crack afterwards so pretty pointless if you want to play a game for any amount of time.

Two questions:
1°)How to configure the refresh rate? I tweaked the .ini to get it to 100, but it's still 60, and my eyes are hurting bad
2°)I wanna play with a few pals thanks to hamachi. How do I manage to do that?

Thanks Smile

Did you alter the correct ini?
(There's two, one in the game directory and one in the documents and settings directory)

Is there a way to mount an image (like the mini images) while they are still compressed... so that I dont have to decompress them thereby taking up an additional 6gigs of space?

Decompress then delete the rars

BTW theres a 2 disk vers doing the rounds - for those that dont wanna burn the dual layer image or split it themselves
