Serben, from what I have read, the modding tools are available and the game isnt *that* buggy. Either way, I'm still looking forward to playing the game.

umm, I didnt see a single bug yet.
The game is fine, and good mods won't be out for months anyway.
but if you dont want to play, your loss.

Bart1983 wrote: | Serben wrote: | Well if the file i posted didn't work i don't know what migh be wrong. Anyway, the reloaded release is out now so i guess you don't need that file anyway. But i've played the full version for a while now and i have to say some things suck really bad (imo). Mainly in the battles, but also that they removed the view city feature from RTW. On the battle map it sucks that there's hardly any blood AT ALL. You can barely see it which sucks huge cock. In the first demo it was MUCH better. And they also MASSIVELY increased the space between the units (compared to the first demo) so that all the men in a unit look all spread out and shit, and their bodies end up being spread out huge distances, no matter how close together men die. It looks really gay. In the first demo you would have huge piles of corpses in one place and they wouldn't be all spread out and shit. And also, due to increased spacing between the men in a unit, when you send a unit to fight an enemy unit in a narrow city street, only the first 10 or 20 of your guys will actually engage the enemy.
The remainin ones will just stand there and watch like retards until someone gets killed, then one guy will move up and take his place. Meanwhile the enemy unit seems to still be capable of engaging with all their men, not just the first 20, which means that your guys end up getting raped while thousands of your other men just stand and watch, no matter how many times you tell them to charge the enemy. It's so bad that it got to the point where i had about 1000 fully upgraded heavy sicilian knights (can't remember their name) with full plate armour and weapons upgrades, facing off against pajama wearing aztecs with no armour at all and only wielding wooden shields. They ended up raping my 1000 heavy knights because they fucking refused to charge the enemy. Only the first 20 guys actually attacked the aztecs, while the remaining 980 stood about 20 meters back watching. Meanwhile those 20 guys had to face ALL the several hundreds aztecs. They were lucky if they killed 1 aztec for every 5 of my guys killed. And then of course you can't even mod the game without official modding tools since everything is packed in those custom archives.
So anyways, i'm gonna have to wait until they release a patch and fix this cluster fuck of a game. |
Lol i don't want to read all of that but i understand that you have a problem with the game and need a patch? Can you tell me the problem in, what shell we say, 2 lines of text ? |
from what ive read ion other forums a patch will be released on the day its released especially for the charging bug so wait untill friday and download it from the site www.totalwar.com
ill be getting my bought copy tommorrow so ill be doing the same

blue-ray or hd-dvd anyone ... |
Nope...im old-school, still use a 40gig hdd!
Anyways, can anyone tell me how big it is after installation? In my experience, the one given in the sys reqs isnt quite accurate... |
The german version was 11 gigs installed, i feel for you man
Anway, serben, i feel your pain too, i know how annoying that is, but the fact still remains that you should NEVER engage the enemy in a bottleneck of your choice. Never!
Even if your dudes were packed shoulder-to-shoulder should you do that, even with max armor and weapons.
Sure you would prolly win, but take alot more losses than if you choose a more tactical approach!

Trust me, you're not missing anything until they release a patch and modding tools. In its current state it's bugged as shit and you can't even mod it. |
Personally i think the game is fun to play. It just nails you to the chair, making you suffer from the "just one more turn" syndrome.

I don't *pretend* it's good, I said I'm having fun with this game, and I mean it. Just because you don't like it it doesnt mean it sucks. It just means you don't like it and nothing more.
Different people like different things...

That's a pretty pathetic reply to his very smart mini review with valid points. Shoo kid.

There were no valid points, just whining. Not only was it whining, he is also a liar, unless he has a direct OC-48 to Reloaded headquarters and was able to download about 7 gigs of data in less than 3 hours.
