Without requesting or posting anything prohibited by Nforce, can anyone point me in the right direction for playing backups on the ps2, is it difficult?

Was easy for me since I own a slim ps2. Just bought swap magic dvd. Comes with a few little clips that fool the ps2 into thinking the lid is closed. Put in swap disc, boot up then put in game, Hit X and away you go.

The swap thing is really annoying..better get a fully built-in modchip..makes life much easier with that, imo.

Anyone else getting ridiculous loading times with the iso that was released anonymously? I get like 3-4 minutes of loading time where the ps2 just keeps churning and churning when it loads a song. Some songs even get unsunced, i.e. the guitar sounds are delayed by like over a second.

Burned it on 2x speed with Alcohol 120% on a DVD-R disc.
Anything else I should have done to make it work better?

I made my copy using DVD Decrypter at 4x. My load times are about 15/20 sec per song.

I just beat it on hard, man this game was ALOT easier than GH1.
I completed the last songs on my first try in GH2 and struggled for ages with the 2 last songs in GH1, I never even completed cowboys from hell on hard! I just couldn't nail the first part in cowboys, the solos in bark was even easier. I have no idea why I had such a hard time with the start of cowboys...:/
But damn, freebird rules soooo much! Best solo ever! =)

But I think GH1 have better songs overall. GH2 is still one damn awesome game that kicks everything else to hell. =)

Yeah, I heard that, a quite lame move I think. Luckely I bought the "real" guitar.

Seriously, this game is really alot easier than GH1. Many say the opposit but I manage to 4star or 5star most songs on hard, including freebird. And I manage to 4star quite many on expert too. So in my opinion this is alot easier. I think it has to do with the new and improved hammerons/pulloffs. The new way of doing them makes those fast parts alot easier.

I love sweet child of mine, it's totally badass. And freebird ofcourse when the insane solo kicks in. Jordan by buckethead is awesome too, although frickin hard on expert.
But there's no song that can match crossroads and texas flood from GH1, not even close. I hope they release a 2in1 on the ps3 since it has the media storage for it and tweak GH1 to match GH2. I would love to have the new hammeron/pulloffs in GH1. =)

god this pisses me off so much. i've been waiting for this game for so long and I still have to wait another month and a half!!

"no more games till christmas"

meaning this and a couple others are now snug on my family's xmas lists. FUCK! I told my wife today that if I don't even get the game on xmas (ie: someone forgets or decides not to get it for whatever reason) that I WILL kill. No joke. I don't get this game by the 25th and this year's xmas will be stained dark red with the blood of hundreds. I played the demo they had at Future Shop so I could get my fix, (you know they sell wireless flying V's there?) and god damn, it was easy but War Pigs is the best fucking song ever Very Happy I aced it on hard first try. Shame the store was so empty, I was hoping to have gathered a crowd at my rocking performance! LOL!

God damn I want this game so bad Sad

Oh and Palle, I got about 66% into Cowboys from Hell on expert Very Happy Song isn't so hard assuming you can master the timing on the the G-R-G-R-Y-R-Y-B-R-Y-O (I htink that's the note order...off of memory). To bad I haven't mastered it just yet The solo is rediculous though. I swear they just randomly throw 100 notes at you per second while gnomes inside the game laugh at the futility of ever beating the song! Wink

i can has computar?!

Theirs not realy much point in copying this game since you need the guitar to make it fun so best / cheaper to just buy the game / guitar combo Smile

I just went out today and got Guitar Hero 2 With the Guitar for £39.99 from PCWorld and its AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Only bad thing is, my new Xbox360 will be just collection dust now because of this game Wink )
