Are we really supposed to feel bad about not paying for the music of these rich cunts with diamond encrusted platinum teeth, huge palaces, private jets, garages full of luxury cars, legions of servants to chew their food for them, wipe their asses, carry their umberellas over their heads, put on their clothes for them, tie their shoes and all the other shit that they have? Fuck that. The only ones who are hurt by filesharing are the big, rich and established artists. Smaller unknown artists who can't afford huge fucking 5 minute long ads on prime time TV are actually helped by filesharing since it spreads and promotes their music, which effectively takes away the job of the record labels, thus undermining their profits. THAT'S what it's all about. The fucking labels are lying us all straight to the face when they say that the artists are hurt by filesharing, and they try to cry crocodile tears for them.
If they really cared for the artists they'd offer them more points off the gross, instead of taking 90% like they ususally do. No, what this whole issue is REALLY about is that it helps promote the smaller groups/artists and effectively removes the need for a record label, since through file sharing artists can promote their songs independently of record labels. So they feel threatened by it, and that's why thye hunt down file sharers like rabid hyenas.
Well, i say FUCK them. I haven't bought any music from major labels since like 1995, and i NEVER will, ever again. The only music i'm buying is the small indie stuff that's independent of the insatiable greed of the major labels,
