Have been playing this game for some hours, I got bored with the last version pretty fast, this version is better.
It looks a lot better the 3d is really done very well (although heavy on the vid card) you can zoom in and almost see the pimples on their faces if they would have had them.Zoom out and watch the neighbourhood which looks like simcity 4.
it's got loads of options and stuff to buy, the new fears and wants are nice.
It is presented really well, the gui is slick and the neighbourhood is also very nice and upgradable.
On the other hand some things do not change, although the sims seem smarter then the last version there still does not seem to be enough time to do anything.
You wake up have to take a piss, wash up, but there is no time to eat you have to work already, once back from work there is no time to socialize because it's almost time to go back to bed again.etc etc.
Also this happens again with the getting older part, it goes way to fast.
What's the use if you can't ever relax in life and enjoy all the cool shit you bought?
So all in all a very good looking game much better then the last version but it still has the same irritating issues as the last version.

In the RVL Cheat Dox there is a strange line:
Thanks to RELOADED to their nice release!
maybe there is a cracked version around (or will be).

I know this is a fustrating aspect about theSims, but it's also one of it's key gameplay elements believe it or not
At least in the original, having all the time in the world would increase the likelhood of boredom, alleviate some of the challenge and given the abstract nature of the game destroy some of it's realism - life nowadays is like this, hectic and impossible to manage when you have such 9-5 jobs and the like.
Having to rush around and micromanage your time also gives the illusion of everything being new and exciting rather than what it would become - easily obtainable and boring.
a little more time would be nice though, there seems to be little room for error.

then you have the trouble of managing the desires of two people... it just means more micromanagement, not necessairly less work

This game is very cool, tons of new stuff... The only bad thing is that you grow old way too fast imho. Only like 25 days in the game...
All in all, very good game.

Who cares if it's a girl's game. Are you more of a man if you shoot monsters in Doom 3??? It's a f***ing computer game!!!!!!!

It's a game that appeals to anyone, those that shun it simply because the opposite sex might enjoy it are fools if you ask me.
People who say Doom is scary are pansies too.
