this release is great. hope some teams will release it. Its an easy safedisc3 protection, I removed it for myself.

Just curious: Did you create a NoCD crack or just found a way to circumvent the protection WITHOUT using Alcohol or Daemon Tools to load the image? I would be curious also to know if you could run the game with CloneCD still installed on the system?

Btw, anyone get this game working just buy burning the first CD and running it with it in rather than using the Alcohol image? I want to use the CD rather than the image to bypass the protection. Probably not possible until a NoCD is release. Guess we'll wait as THE SIMS2 is still NOT officially released worldwide except a few Euro sites.

Gawd these a*s publishers deserve a little castration/quartering for being so overly-anal about having emulation software on a user's machine. Gawd so bloody pathetic! Whats next? "Oh, found Nero and an MP3 Player.. can't have that!".. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Dudes, when i'm playing the sims2 for like about 10 minutes my system freezes and the game hangs. It will need a cold boot to restart again. Does anyone else got the same problem? Using dtools for emulation with directx9.0c. Specs: 2.4Intel, Geforce5600

Anyone else got a idea or has the same problem?

Grtz!

To clear one problem. If you get a Direct X 9.0c error when you start the game you have to disable any kind of refreshrate program. I have ReForce on my computer and got the error. With ReForce you just press Default Settings-->Apply and you are good to go.

First initial thought of the game - Sims1 in 3D....

Uninstalling didn't fix the problem indeed. next gonna reinstall the dx9 from the cd and update my ati drivers for my 9800Pro.
