Yeah, I finally gave in and activated with a B2 key. Let's hope a crack comes out before MS makes them not genuine.

Just installed Vista (Bill Gates) Ultimate on a hard drive I had laying around.
Fresh install using no serial.
Used the ReebSaw Crack and activated with my RC1 key.
Also used the Watermark Patch.
This is what I got!

Ok I just received my Raptor 10k RPM HD, was waiting for it to install Vista. I have the WinBeta release.

I try to isntall. 1. Boot on CD, 2. Select X64 (x32 do the same), 3. Windows copying files to somewhere. 4. I see copyright ms corporation with a loading bar like when XP start with very low gamma and after 2sec (where XP usually get high gamma and load) it reboot WTF!!... can't get past that! I don't even get to select where to install and nada, it just reboot.

I know WinBeta is known to have a custom installation (and I hate that) but it's the only release with 64bit yet, and I don't think at this point it have entered the custom installation yet anyway.

Someone have any idea? Btw, I'm installing from an ATAPI dvd burner.

EDIT: Found out it's a bug in Asus P5W DH Deluxe mobo in combo with a GeForce 7950GX2 only, bios patch is being worked on by Asus tech and will be released "before official vista release" so I guess I'll have to stick with XP for a while Sad

Very interesting but it just a matter of days and microsoft will close the beta project so won't be able to activate a future installation of vista.

NVIDIA 97.19 MS Vista RTM build X32 and X64 Drivers:

Quote:
Windows Vista x86 & x64 (RTM build)

This is a new Vista ForceWare driver with build 97.19. We repackaged the archive and it contains both the 32 and 64-bit driver.

First reports from our forums say that the drives work really good, there's even AA active now. No control panel for the drivers is in here though.

You must instal it from update driver of video device.

going to try them Smile

I might have missed it, but what's the difference between the Bill Gates and MSDN?
Does it really matter? I just downloaded the Patch, it's very small (size doesn't matter) so there can't be that many changes.

Also...
I already burned and deleted my Bill Gates ISO. Can I just make one from the disc I burned, or do I have to download the whole thing again to apply the MSDN Patch?

And one more thing...
Should I keep my activated copy? If I try to activate it again, will it fail?

I got it loaded, waiting to crack the activation (I've got an RC2 Key) but before I even bother, I can't get my 9800 to work without throwing an Error 43, which disables Glass, etc. Sad

There are too many issues about this trick. I'm still not sure if it works properly. Did you changed the date or something similar?

Is it possible that Vista with the date messed up by trick counts the effective minutes of usage?

It's about total amount of use, guys, not days of installation. So if you had it installed for 3 days but used it only 20hrs, it will still say 30 days to activation.

Well, that is how it was with me. Run the VBS file with the command to show you the minutes. That number of minutes goes down and down, and the number of days left is calculated by that number.

No, it doesn't run out. If 2099 work, then whenever you reboot, it should start the countdown over. See my post on the bottom of page 13.
