When does it take place? Is it a prequel that happens before "Dr. No" or just a regular Bond movie?

I haven't seen it yet, but it's supposed to be Bond's first mission as a new agent, isn't it?

That's actually a reference to the good old days when they would actually mention the name of the following Bond movie. Example 'Bond will return as The Spy Who Loved Me'.

yup just like "BATMAN the BEGINNING"

miss that catchy bond song on that guitar Sad , and they fucked the bond time line big time /example his boss was a Man later it was a Woman , and the other parts where when there was cold war but in this movie the cold war its over/ , this movie is like there is a new guy with the same name that has new adventures ... nice actions but ITS NOT A BOND MOVIE / they only used the James Bond name so millions of fans will go to this movie /

2/10 becoz i am a bond movie fan , fuck its like the future will destroy all those great things not improve it , just like in games with SC double agent

9/10 if you aren`t

It's the end of Bond as we know it. Like all those other stories never happened. All the Bond purists must be crying right now not to mention the real poker players.

25 mins of action then just talk talk, blah poker. Nothing like the true Bond films at all, it's mainly a marketing vehicle for sony, ford and casinos. For instance, since when did M ever start swearing and acting like a stroppy 12 year old, the bond girl was a minger.

This film has been made for usa audiences, why the hell don't they just make him a cia agent or some crap then british people won't feel like they've been slapped in the face with sonys chequebook.

Pretty much all modern Bond movies are marketing products, nothing new. In fact, there were 9 products in the previous Bond movie, in this one it is only 6.

No, most movies doesn't have products intentionally placed in them - and most movies doesn't have known products in them, or products at all. Besides, big difference between seeing a product in a movie, and a movie that is promoting products intentionally (ie. I, Robot, and newer Bond-movies, for instance).
