sympathy for lady vengeance was not a bad film, just slow. i did like the finale though, that bit was awesome, because it simply has to make you smile how it all worked out. but yeah, just a really slow film, not one that ill watch more than once. oldboy, i agree, is simply amazing.

Minor spoilers:
Spoiler: | First of all, there's no chronology whatsoever in the movie, it makes it very confusing to watch. Secondly and more importantly, the movie dwells too much on Geum-ja's (Lady Vengeance) past, her time in prison, etc - not why she would do what she did (this is spared for the last 10 minutes of the movie).
On the plus-side, the movie is is very artistic and has a unique cinematography, which you would expect of Chan-wook Park after seeing Oldboy, Yeong-ae Lee is mesmerizing as Lady Vengeance.
If you loved Oldboy and/or liked Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance, by all means watch the movie. Just be prepared to be disappointed.

Believe it or not he actually earns money from the german state to create these flicks. Its pure business and nothing to do with art.

Children of men 8/10.Very convincing looking economically fucked up multi-culti future.
I liked the sound in this movie, good acting too.
And ye, I drew some parallels to the reality in certain scenes of the movie.
