Good News
-PLAYSTATION®Network titles are supported under [GAME].
-[Remote Play] has been added as a feature under [Network].
-[Online Instruction Manuals] has been added as a feature under [Network].
-Timed recording has been added as a feature under [RSS Channel].
-A visual player has been added as a feature under [Music].
-3-speed fast forward and fast reverse has been added as a feature under [Music].
-[Camera] has been added as a feature under [Photo].
-[UMD™Auto-Start] has been added as a feature in [System Settings] under [Settings].

Bad News

I don't think we will see a devhook for this for a long time. I don't think it can be decypted either since its not longer using Flash0 FAT12 table.

My advice : Don't upgrade. Smile

weeeelllll we all knew something like this'd be coming soon. i figure we have another 4 months minimum of games atleast till nonplayables start showing up... and then another mass dry spell why we wait for another miracle like mph's game loader back in the day...

Apparently you will need a PS3 to transfer the PSX games to your PSP.
What a letdown. Well, I wouldn't have bought any of the titles anyway, but now there is no way I even think of upgrading.

Give it time and them PSX Games will be on the Net in special places Wink... Yea maybe you need a PS3 to put them on, but once they are on just connect PSP to the PC and drag off Smile


Plus Its all new stuff in this firmware which means more possible exploits and as Dark Alex said, "Sony dont use magic, its just code which given time can be reverse engineered and decrypted"..

PSP Releases will probably slow down in about 4 months anyway with the PS3.

But they will most likely be tied to the PS3/PSP Mac address to prevent pirated copys.
