hi all !
i've got a little question on thief:
in the game, you can buy some training locks. Once you have bought one, it's going into your appartment. But what do you gain in doing this ?
because i don't see any difference before and after training... Does your lockpicking skills increase ? Where can you see this ?

BTW, this game is really good. I thought they would ruin it but it came out ok.
Also, in terms of performance. You should have your multisamples set in game the sae as you have it set in your graphics options. I figured this one out myself as when I fixed that I got way better performance.

5 minutes is more then enough to see what a big pile of shit this game is, it feels like something Activision Value would release.

There is much more to see after 5 minutes, the entire scope of the game changes after the first 2 missions, the voice acting is great, you can walk through town and people will start having conversations, listening to the NPC's talk is fun and believable,and if you DO listen to them you learn things important, sometimes new missions, sometimes location of loot, etc.
Whats wrong with the controls? They seem fine to me.
Graphics are bad, textures are pretty bad, obviously.
Pretty good game, not as good as the classics, but I dont think anyone expected that to begin with. |

MOUAHAHAHHAHAH sorry I don't want to flame but this is too funny... jsut the way the guy walk you barely have time to finish the training mission in 5min (if yuo take time to read, wich you should).
And what is the third level? The city? That's not really a level and you can't really "complete" it... stop making things up and try to post when you have something important to say!

 <--- thats all I can say. You've got be some kind of Game-God. Doesn't matter anyway.
For me, as I said earlier, this game is pure fun, I really like the fact that the 'true' missions need some time to be finished, especially when you want to collect most of the loot etc.

Some of you are obvisouly immature and retarded, so I wont sweat you and waste my time replying to you.
Its not my problem that some of you are slow and suck in stealth games, I finished Splinter Cell in 1 day, I finished Splinter Cell PT in 16 hours, and I really wanted to finish this game, but too bad it sucked, and was a pathetic excuse for a game, I really did have high expectations for this game, ohh well, maybe it was Activision Value who created this sad pile, cause it sure feels like it.
The bottom line is, that only losers like some of you will try to turn anything into a flame war, well grow up, and use all 3 of your brain cells for something better and more productive.

Holy cow.....you gotta relax a little buddy. If you didn't like the game after 5 minutes of play that's cool, however, you can't expect people to not criticize you after playing said 5 minutes. Coming into this thread and saying the game is shit for no apparent reason's doesn't help the people who want an honest opinion on the game. If you think it's bad, tell us your bad points and move on. The reason why these threads get so long is because 3 quarters of the threads in any given topic turn into flame wars and useless garbage. Stick to the topics people.

Fine fine, everyone calm down. Skyline obviously has no interest in trying to like the game, and there's no point in trying to convince a person that is set in his ways.
God I wish I could play this game now, stupid Ti4200 has died and now I'm stuck with a card that can't run the game at more than 7FPS.

All this coming after playing this game on 1280x1200 4xaa 4xaf, everything on high.
The only plus about the game is the loading times, which were about 3-5 seconds and the atmosphere.
And as for Dunge, I think your the only gay one. |
i was thinking the same thing....when i played the first and tranning level i thought...hmmmmm and this is that great game all people are talking about
then i kept playing until i got in jail..and now after a while i feel is much better game...before i gave it a 5...now i give it a 7.5, my point is...5 min is not enough sometimes

I've just finished the "Cradle" level, so anyone, who has played this thru, is there much left??? Great game, never though this could be so cool ! One of the best releases this year, imo.
