Hfric, the only bad thing about Oblivion was the combat and the lack of body awareness. Everything else was topnotch.
Gothic has no redeeming value other than a huge open world, which is nothing on its own.

nope this 1.09 crack is real, but its for starforce protected russian version, dunno if it will work with english

Please shut up. Topnotch? You've gotta be kidding me, the story was the most cliched piece of crap ever and apart from the few notable actors the voice acting was also shit. Performance was mediocre and the graphics looked like crap before you modded the .ini files (kind of like gothic 3).
Then there was the loading you get every time you entered a building/cave/town which ruined immersion, plus the leveling monsters, random loot and identical dungeons all helped to make the game average, when it could have been spectacular.
You rip on the Gothic 3 fanboi's all the time, saying they're blind to the flaws of the game, maybe they are. But you're just as bad when it comes to oblivion you hypocritical twat.

i used the crack on the latest us release of gothic 3 the game simply dosent star or do anything at all so i guess we wait longer for a proper crack and a proper update:)

Lol vurt, i remeber that video, it was funny. Ofcoures they exaggerated, they are smart buissnesmen. And you do have to compete with some npcs, sometimes, but its pretty lame and they are no threat to you. Like where you become a thief, you gotta race to the house and steal some shit. It's all about selling thier games.

(sorry if you already posted something like that, its just the topic is 28 pages, and i was was kinda lame to check it all  )

I hope the new v1.09 nocd works on US version. I will soon find out...installing G3 as I write this.
Hmmm, vista complaining about two unknown services installed with G3:

The US version of Gothic 3 doesn't need to be updated to 1.09. The 1.09 is only for the Euro/Russian version. The US version of Gothic 3 has all the updates it is going to get....for now. This is on the front page of the US version Gothic 3 website and I believe it has been posted here....just a few pages back. If you do update your US version to 1.09 it can potenitally...fuck it up!!!

Yes the Russian crack does work on the Euro (English) release but you need another archive of 4 files as well....that are not to hard to find on another forum (cough GCW). You need 6 files in all

I love how they hyped the AI for Oblivion, anyone remember that mage bitch who killed her dog when she tried to sleep? Or that they told you that you would compete againt other heroes that also could solve quests etc? It seemed really deep and interesting but it turned out really lame, just like MW for which they also hyped the AI..
