Just read the 360 reviews. Game is identical to the console version anyway.
And graphics 6.5? Sure, the game doesn't look like Gears of War, but 6.5 is way too low man.

yeah i think a patch can save the performance issues. the slowdowns dont occur becuase there is more going on etc they just happen in certain places like looking in acertain direction i can see the fps drop from 60 down to 30 (never below its like 30 is a preset low number)then if i look say one inch to one side, back up to 60. they better get a patch to fix it because it should run smoother considring the moderate top res and basic detail levels.

not really is you look at games such as oblivon, the depth of textures etc. some backdrops in this look like ps2. thats 6.5 compared to detailed gfx pcs are capable of imho.

even comparing games that have been released even older ones like COD2 had much better textures. the ones in this are more like golden oldie black hawk down. maybe im being unfair but i still think they are poor. the animations etc are great though, its just the quality of the gfx that suck.

Kinda reminds me of Deux Ex 2, and how unoptimized that game was when it came to the PC. Took ages before it was in a proper state to play it proper, with texture packs getting realised and lots of patches. I think this is pretty much the same except not as poor of a state as DX2 was, whereby you can play it reasonably but it could have been so much better if they had just spent that extra bit of time on it.

The biggest problem with DX2 was consolified streamlined bullshit, dumbed down game, really really small maps and long loading times.
Vegas runs on a new engine, so wether or not it was a console port, it would require a very good computer to run it with high detail and acceptable framerates.

Well as far as the 8800 goes, its the inexplicable dips in FPS that are curious. It really looks like a case of poor optimization/Poor drivers. Game is great however, really enjoying it.

Its far from 6.5 imo.
This game runs pretty good even though my computer isnt exactly the best (3.8ghx dual core, gf7800, 1.5gb memory). Im happy with it - now all I want is a crack so I know it works 100% of the times I wish to play it.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

I too am unable to start the game. I am running off a fresh format, no blindwrite or anything. I have tried using the YASU included as well as downloading YASU 1.04. I am using Daemon Tools 4.08HE with the newest STDP. I have tried starting the game from the shortcut as well as the launcher exe and the game exe which bypasses the updater. All attempts have the same result :
Please insert the original disc instead of a backup (1000).

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Not really, but if you compare my computer to many other people here dont have impressive memory, i dont have the latest gfx card and my cpu isnt the best one on the market.

i can't shit on ubi soft for this game!!!
i love the gfx/gameplay/sounds
SP and MP both are verry well executed and designed.
i love the gfx and game modes in multiplayer, the game works over hamatchi lan
coop story is fun, there aint alot of coop games so it's a good addition.
when i see this game in stores i will buy it from my xmas money!
i want that serial key badly hehehe
the game runs buttery smooth at 1024x768 all effects on and on high or very
high.
i experienced some mouselag or low fps lag in multiplayer mode but all i did was bump the shadows down to low, the shadows still look good and realistic.
but there is no performance hit now in mp.
i am using
Core 2 Duo E6300
BFG 6800 oc softmodded 16pp 6vp
1G Dual Channel DDR400

Yah, you're laughing, while mine rips pretty much any game apart in 1920 x 1200, full detail. I can live with the minor inconvenience until it gets patched tbh. I'd rather play most things optimally with a few problems, than everything slow.
I'm not brainwashed, I just like having the newest gear, its a hobby of mine. Thing is you selfish little pre-pubescent jackass, I AM planning on using Vista, and I bought this "Vista Ready, Vista Essential card" to use with it. I know you have trouble with this concept and I won't flame/troll anymore with you.
