As it's been said before - disable your dvd/cd player. Its enough to disable it in the Device Manager.

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

Ehh,I've had enough :/. After mounting image in newest daemon tools,disabling drivers in device manager/starforce nighmare (disable nod,disable cd) game starting with error-"problem with R6Vegas_Game.exe" (even with YASU). I tried also "old regtrick" but game not working. If "new regtrick" really exist, please send me PM. Ill be grateful.

P.S. Of course Ii'm talking about v.1.01.With 1.0 i have no problems.

I've had the same problem after installing the patch (R6Vegas_Game.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close...). I've disabled my IDE channel as well but no change. Then I tried running the game by clicking on the R6Vegas_Game.exe in the ...\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas\Binaries\ folder, and it worked. I know it sounds strange but it worked for me. Hope this helps.

I still get the "send/don't send" error, and sometimes i get the "conflict with emulation software" error. Sad

i got the unleashed rip, installed with no problems at all and ran it using yasu.exe.

now, the game runs but right after i see the 3 intro logos at the very beginning, it freezes and i gotta restart my pc.

anyone getting this error as well? hod do you fix it?

ps. i got an ati radeon x800... maybe it's not supported?

lots of ppl are going mad that a card like the x800 simply isn't supported... this is why u always check requirements before wasting time downloading and installing =)

I got Vegas working with Daemontools 4.0x (what ever the latest is)

Set Virtual devices to 1
Change device name of my daemontools drive within daemontools ( Virtual CD/DVD Drive -> Device 0 -> Set device parameters ) and just change the info in there to something else.
Set all emulation on in DT.
mount mini image off gamecopyworld
Run YASU.
Run vegas

Cant remember if i disabled my IDE drive in device manager or not. (at work atm so cant check) but once I did this I was able to play nice Lan games over hamachi with my mates and using my 360 pad Very Happy

just one problem... My computer is crap and cant view it all too well so I have to sit a bit further from the screen so I can't see how bad it looks compared to my 360 :/ *shakes fist at 6800GT*

This works for me too (DT 4.08->Mini image->YASU 1.04-> run vegas), without disabling any devices. (version 1.0)

I haven't applied the 1.01 patch yet...

I would actually buy this if enough patches are released to make it stable in MP and a good mod team made a realism mod for it. yay!

1.01 patch gave a HUGE performance upgrade for me, it was actually playable where as on 1.0 it wasnt. Oh and 1.01 lets you use a xbox360 controller Very Happy

Becuase I was playing it first on 360 then a friend got it on PC and wanted me to play and I'm used to it on 360 so rather than messing up my controls I just play it how I normally do

Using my method I was able to play WITH the 1.01 patch, played it on LAN using hamachi with a friend with retail. Worked perfect

I give up, tried on both 1.0 and 1.01, mini images, disabled devices which does nothing but make the EXE crash, used yasu, even tried curerom, nothign works, nice to see reloaded can only release crap now Sad DAMN YOU CLONES!!!!

Heres what works for me with the 1.01 patch:

1. Run Yasu 1.04
2. Disable Cdrom Drives from Device Manager
3. Play

Sometimes the RB6 executable crashes when I run, but after the 3rd or 4th try, it works.

This method always works for me. And if you want to get creative, download devcon.exe from MS and you can disable/enable drives in a simple batch file.

At first I had crashes with the 1.01 update. Then tried the trick below and now it works...


From another forum:

click Start->Run->regedit
go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices
and rename (F2 after selecting a key) all your virtual !AND! real dvd drives to whatever you want.
\\DosDevices\\L: ---> \\DosDevices\\L:BlahBlah
\\DosDevices\\M: --> \\DosDevices\\M:qwerty
then just start the game (youll need to do this everytime after you restartyour PC.)


Just remember to change ALL the virtual drives!

Good Day,

Well it seems I have a completely different problem with the game...

After installing patch 1.01, disabling IDEs and using YASU te protection is bypassed but after the UBI log, anfd then after the Unreal 3.0 Engine Logo, the game crashs always with the same error "behind" the Unreal logo (I mean alt-tabbing I see this error),

"CANNOT INITIALIZE OLE"

Any insight??

My Specks,

1.- AMD X2 4400+
2.- Nvidia 7900GTX 512MB with 93.71 drivers
3.- 2GB Corsair XMS Ram
4.- X-FI Elite Pro
