Gabe is a remarkably tender and sensual person. Don't judge a book by it's cover!

I don´t care anymore...it will come out (if ever) when it will come out!
Meanwhile there are a bunch of other nice games that will come out soon to both pc and X-box, and I will direct my attention to them instead:

NHL 2005 (pc and X-box)
SW - Battlefront (pc and X-box)
Port Royale 2 (pc)
Pirates! (pc)
Fable (X-box)
The Sims 2 (pc)
Fifa 2005 (pc and X-box)

...and more...so you see; this autumn will be a gamers paradise after all, without this HALF-stupid LIFEsucker 2orrment of a game!!!

and mutantius, dude that means nothing, its just yet another gaming page making assumptions, based in some guy's report, who by the way has nothing to do with valve or VU, so, only time will tell

hi cavedweller (pikachupi) Very Happy *my guess because you cannot miss half life 2 news*

this news is already very old, the release candidate is said to be sent to Vivendi on the 15th but do not count on it, knowing Valve they will probably screw this up as well and delay it with a week or two.

Somebody named Galve is saying on a number of forums the third preload will go underway on the 16th of september, and the same day you will be able to play and purchase a key, which I personally do not believe. He also says that people who buy the game via Steam will get a boxed copy as soon as the game is printed on it, I cannot imagine this either.

My conclusion is that we have to wait till end of October/beginning of November for the game unfortunately Mad

Hmm lets see, since the HL2 voucher has been discussed around and around I need a small summary of things. I downloaded the Steam client, installed, created account, scratched off my voucher for the cd-key, and now I chose in Steam 'Browse Games' and then clicked 'Register a product I already have' (even tho in the HL2 Offer page on ATi's site it says a little different) entered my cd-key and once it was accepted I had a nice list of games I can d/l right away and start play (currently getting CS:S Beta -540mb)...well did I do everything the way they meant? Anything else I must know? :[

Yep yep if you have never preloaded before it just preloads all stages in one. Nothing to worry about just let steam update and your set.

I take it that's compressed? So what's the total so far? Do they release them in 500mb? How many more precaches do you think we're looking at?
