Yea i thought so to. It don't. Sits just above it...barely. As that fan is sort of slideable sideways as well as up/down ( a couple of mm) its just fine. Got the stuff installed now so I know. What was a pain in the butt was to unplug and unscrew everything and gently get the mobo out to fit the dam thing. Then the same procedure but reverse to put it back. Took me a good hour.
