Indeed, SWIV it was!!!
THAT was great!!!!

Lots of fun with that game!!!!.

SWIV was a follow up to the game Silkworm, wich in my opinion was far better than SWIV.

Sidescrolling instead of top-down.

Heh, that kind of looks like UN Squadron, one of my favourite all time games.

WOW a new shmup for PC? Amazing. Will be grabbing this one for sure.

Since there are quite a few shmup fans in this thread, me being probably the biggest one, I thought I would post a quick list of shmups for mame that all of you should play.

There was a cool one on SNES and I can't remember much of it but as a kid I LOVED it. All I remember is it was an airplane over the usual land but all these sections were blocked off by this huge mechanical wall pole thing and you have to find the area to shoot to open it up.

If I remember correctly, I didn't like the guns in Tyrian, but seems like I have to try the full now

"Tyrian is a video game developed by Jason Emery from Eclipse Productions (later World Tree Games) and published in 1995 by Epic MegaGames. The game was officially released as freeware in 2004."

---

Back to topic, tried Switchfire for 5 levels now and kinda hurts my left hand with default controls Very Happy Not used to alter direction so much and with arrow keys, sould try with jeep disabled, to see if I can steer with right hand. But definitely no Raptor killer, too much happening on screen, no way possible to kill 'em all, but seems that it's ment for 2 peeps to do that. Or if your l33t enough, by your self helicopter with mouse and jeep with keyb Razz Oh and no gun upgrade buying, which was a fantastic feature in Raptor.

PROPER NOTES
The RELOADED release contains a bad crack with broken
imports. Thus it will not work on any Windows version
prior to XP, even though Windows 2000 is supported by the
game. Are you having a deja vu?
