DO NOT USE THE EASY FLASHER ON PSP-HACKS!!!!

People are reporting that it bricks..

------------------
RELEASED

Changes from 3.02 OE-B to 3.03 OE-A

- Change from firmware 3.02 to 3.03
- Added support for compression in psx isos (look at popstation documentation for more details).
- Added support for decrypted document.dat (psx games manual) (look at docmaker documentation for more details).
- Fixed a bug regarding free region: a stupid bug caused it not to work at all.
Now it should work, although it has not been tested due to lack of umd's of different regions
between the testers and me.
- Some generic bug fixes in the code.
- Redded the sdk.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT:

3.03 Open Edition Release A' (or A2)

A few fixes, and cpu speed for umd/isos:

This is the update from 3.03 OE-A to 3.03 OE-A'.

Execute this only from 3.03 OE-A.

changes:

- Added cpu clock selection for umd/iso games. (not for vsh yet)
- Fixed various bugs regarding the recovery menu, one of them made "rare text" appear when
entering in plugins if pops plugins existed, the other one caused a crash when pressing triangle.
- Fixed a small part of code in umd emulation that was not multithread safe.

I suppose this will be a small install from 3.02OE-B - like OE-A to OE-B was?

501mb -> 360mb (@compression level 9)

Crusader No Remorse (rip)
210mb -> 150mb (@9)

upd: Crusader freezes after intro, although it worked perefectly before the compression... ((

DA's flasher worked flawlessly again - went from 3.02OE-B.

Did usual stuff of backing up MS, formatting MS, default values in system settings, defaults in recovery menu, checking MD5 when move DATA.DXAR file to 303oeflasher dir, battery at 100% & ac adpetr plugged in.

Took 2 min's to make DXAR file & 3 minutes to flash. Praise be to Dark Alex et all

Yes I must say it really suprises me that some so-called 'L33t' individuals on the forums flash their PSP without doing the basics - just plain madness Very Happy

Then those idiots did something wrong because I just used the Easy Flasher going from 1.5 to 3.03OE-A on another PSP I have, and everything went perfectly.

Now I have Two PSP's on 3.03OE-A Smile

Are more PS1 games supported now? With 3.02B some PAL games had problems emulating and even some NTSC games did not work properly...

PAL games have issues as the emulator is not designed for the resolution PAL uses (I think..) either way the PAL issue wont ever be fixed, so don't get your hopes up on that one.. I have however heard that more NTSC games work now..

The best thing in this firmware is that we can use compressed PS1 games.

The PAL issue might be fixed once a PAL PSX game is released on that PS3 shop or what ever it is (as right now we are using a the data from a NTSC game...)

Also, If you have PAL games you can just use the PAL to NTSC Converter tool and this sorts the screen problem Smile (all my games are PAL and work / look great once converted to NTSC )
