Hey everyone , ive just signed up with xbox live and had to make a gamertag but it makes a new save on my memory card (got no hdd) and i was wondering if theres any way of merging my offline gamer profile with my gamertag ?
anyone help me plz???
I'm having the same issue. If you cant figure it out tell me, that'd be awsome. I have this nasty habit of not being able to figure out basic shit but have an easy time with the hard, weird, random stuff. I blame logic.
I don't think there's a way to merge an offline and Xbox Live profile. You need to go to the profile menu (the option with the words Games, Gamerscore and Achievements and their corresponding numbers) where you can edit your profile etc. There you can select Join Xbox Live, this will convert your existing offline profile to an Xbox Live profile. If your name is already taken you will have to change it during the process. I think that's the way I did it but maybe I forgot a step. Maybe you will be asked if you want to use an existing profile or want to create a new one.
I didn't lose my saves (and I even had to rename my profile during the Xbox Live sign-up process!).
I can confirm that, I did it the same way (with a HDD).
Other question: is it possible to use one gamertag for several profiles? I have two brothers and each of us has an own profile for savegames. Would it be possible to register a single gamertag and use it on all three profiles? (I doubt it myself but maybe someone knows better)
