You could definitely associate it with X-Men. To be honest tho I think it would appeal to a lot of people once you get into it. Im not a big fan of X-Men but I do like Smallville.

I don't like any kind of superheroes show, though I find this show good.

It's not that good. What it has going for it right now is that it's unashamedly enjoyable (and Hiro is loveable). If the show doesn't mature by becoming less choppy, or hurried then I think people will grow out of it long before they exploit it's full potential. I know I will anyway.
