Yo!
Am still downloading client. From 4am (yep - I woke up specially just to sign up on beta).... fuck. ETA is 10pm. So about 6 hours left. Damn my cable sucks - 60kb/s........
My proposition. Fuck Fileplanet and their promises abou friday and free beta. They have fucked us one time so they will fuck us the second time. Pay those stupid 8$ and play....

If you want a custom radio station do the following:
- go to C:\Documents and Settings\<yournick>\My Documents\Test Drive Unlimited\savegame\<yournick>\
- create a folder called Radio in there
- enter the newly created folder and create another one
- put up to 32 MP3s in there
- listen to your own music
-
- profit
You can add up to 4 custom radio stations that way.

ok, where are the multiplayer events or anything in this game?! I can't see no other players. I completed the so-called tutorial, the game says "multiplayer features now available" and there's nothin'

can anyone confirm if beta from torrent doesn't work

Damn me. I downloaded the full client from FilePlanet, but after extracting the files I deleted the original ZIP archive and lost my chance to help seed the torrent that's up on TorrentSpy. I'm re-zipping the files using Winzip 11 as I'm writing this, hoping that's what ATARI used, so that I'll add myself to the seeders list.
My up bandwidth's not great, I only got 72KB/s to share, but it's something nonetheless.
UPDATE: No go. Using Winzip 11's default settings got my ZIP to a 3.32GB file, which is slightly less than what the original archive was. I guess ATARI didn't go for maximum compression after all.
If we have subscribers around here that are willing to do the same procedure and get the 3.32GB file ready for seeding, we can start a new torrent.

Why would the BETA from the torrent not work? It was submitted by a subscriber that downloaded it off FilePlanet. It sure does work in terms of installation, but if you're not an IGN/FilePlanet subscriber, you'll have to wait until tomorrow to grab a key when the procedure opens to non-subscribers too.

Alright, I found the other players... damn... that looks like Quake 2 played on a 9600bps modem. Half of the other player's cars just stutter around and there's some weir stuff goin' on with sound too.

Anyone know what ports I'm supposed to forward on my router to get the game to connect?
UPDATE: Nevermind, I found them on an Xbox 360 thread. They're 88 UDP and 3074 both UDP and TCP.
