Guess we just have 1 game game developer left in Norway; Funcom.

Innerloop made IGI 1 and 2, pretty good games too, but they went bankrupt?

IGI 1 too was very bad, no savingfunction through the whole game, you had to complete a level in order to save, and the AI was very linear.

They didn't went bankrupt, as the financial report of 2005 shows they had a turnover of 900 000 NOK, maybe they just stopped making games? I loved their old flight-sim JSF, it was brilliant.

Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards
Bravery is not a function of firepower.

Yeah, but still one of the first FPSes with so big landscapes. The AI was weak, i admit that. I still liked the game Razz

Ontopic please?

I was reading more about the mounted combat and stuff. Sounds so crazy. And gibbing and shit is going to be possible? I'm not sure how that will work in persistant play. Like if I lost an arm, what happens, do i get a metal one attached instead? lol

yeah my friend wants me to play WoW with him, I replied "I would if I was single"
I don't play well with others in mmorpgs anyway, I see (what I believe is) stupidity at every turn and become disgusted. Single player rpgs are the only kind worth playing anymore. That's what works for me.

ya pay to plays never made sense to me.I mean you got WoW, it's what 20 buck a month? I played it for like an hour and found guild wars to be more fun.

LOL.. You played it for an hour? I'd say it takes a least a few days + some really good friends or a really nice and fun guild to play with to really "get" WoW. The game is also a lot more fun after lvl60(or 70 now really) when you start raiding and teamplay/tactics becomes the main aspect of the gameplay. But it's a game that requires much dedication to become fun, cant just play it 30min-an hour every day, you dont get anywhere in the game and will never get into it.

Got up to level 20(max for trial) in 4-5 days during the trial period because my friend kept bugging me about it. Then I dropped it for Guild Wars. Sorry, I guess its just person to person preference. I just look at WOW and see a big waste of time, except for some mildly amusing PVP. GW on the other hand has a bunch of appealing stuff (Like running Droks Razz Razz jk), and the PVP is IMO better.

Honestly tho, I never got into the MMO thing. I gave 4 MMO games at least a month of my time, and none impressed me. I guess I'm just an FPS/RTS junky Wink

100% no. You will have to buy it because you'll still have to have an activated and registered account with their servers to do any of the single player stuff.
