in the game manual i think it says you need to reach champion ranking, then this option becomes available in the main menu. title screen or something...

I think it's a bit disappointing what is delivered with TDU!
There are many bugs in the game! In regard to the grafics NFS:MW was looking better i suppose.
OK, i have no HDR features, so it might look better with this enabled but in direct comparision NFS would win.
When passing a hill on the streets there is always a car generated directly in front of you even if it was not visible before, that is crap!

Im not picking on you, just comparing like you did, but with more references...
So your stating that Need For Speed didnt have Generated cars in front of you...???...
Im sorry but this game is 1000% better than Need For Speed, mostly because of MORE realistic car handling...All cars handle differently...NFS All cars handled the same...
Traffic is Gereated, yes...I know that and it pissed me off alot, but you can always swerve around them... In NFS they was calculated to drive into you no matter how fast you was going... If you went 200 then there was this 1 time 200 moron perfectly driving into you...When you slowed down they would slow down just so they would hit you...
NOT to mention CatchUp was in NFS, which made the game soooooo pathetically shity...
I really dont give a shit about EyeCandy GFX ingames, just the playability...
PLUS TDU has Multiplayer (FREE ONLINE GAMING) with everyone around the world ...Awesome stuff...he he...
People complane about Paying to Play, well this is FREE so please enjoy it !!!
Thats my 2 cents on the both ...

Hmm.. Game is laggy sometimes. And it seems to have nothing to do with where you're located. Open road, or in the city. This sucks.

J/k TDU is one of the best driving games I've seen in the recent past... Now I understand what all the fuss is all about.

Here's my system:
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ (OC/ed @ 2.5GHz)
2GB OCZ Gold RAM
NVidia 7600GT (driver 93.71)
I'm getting "fair" framerate within the game with forced 2x AA and 2x AF, that is 25-30FPS on interior view and 40-45FPS on the front bumper cam. However, the 15FPS makes a huge difference in the sense of speed, as with the interior view I can be doing 140MPH and feel like I'm travelling at a comfortable 50MPH. However once I switch to the front bumper cam and the framerate increases, I can really feel I'm speeding down the road.
Anyone else have that issue and know why the interior view takes 15FPS off the performance?
P.S. Post copy-pasted from the one I made at the TDU beta forums, I just wanted your opinions too.

Additional geometry with high polycount kills your fps.

no offence but cars handle like sh*t tbh, its like they slide on the roads instead of drive, even mafia from all those years back had better handling..
and for some reason AA doesnt work on 9800pro cards.. yay -_-
i dont really like the game, i mean, its like been there done that, i know i shouldnt rely on hypes, this proves it again, performance is crap aswell, i have more detailed games i can play alot smoother then this, roads are so boring really; its like tesame road over and over again, so why should i buy the game? to race/cruise with friends? lol, thats gonna get boring really fast, the cars? they look nice and some sound nice but apart from that?.. and when are they going to fix the crappy over the top bass sound x-fi cards are experiencing? i doubt people even submit bugs seeing its still full of it after the closed beta, so dont count on them getting all the bugs out before release lol
screw atari, just like they screwed us with the subscriber sh*t after we waited days to play
