That's MistLand's pseudo-JA3 crap. I posted the link to the in-game video earlier.

Ivan won't be in Jazz:Hired Guns because it's no longer associated with the real Jagged Alliance universe.

Hmm...wonder why there are soldiers from Silent Storm in the merc list. Seems kinda wrong to carry them over from a game based around WW2...to me anyways.

Besides that everything looks pretty good. Hard to judge from just screenshots, though. At least they have rooftop sniping. I couldn't believe some recent JA2-like games actually didn't allow you to climb on roofs...sheesh. It's like they take a few steps forwards with graphics but go a few dozen back on gameplay.

Good to see the interface is similar to JA2. Hard to tell tell where the cities are and how to manage militia and all that but at least it relieves my worries of SS-like linear mission based progression.

Anyways just hope they take time before release to add more personality to it. And don't just come out with a generic-feeling game in the same vein as JA. It's funny with all the modern game engines and improvements I still havent been able to find a replacement for JA2 and games like it. I play new games for a few dozen hrs maybe...but always am drawn back to a few 'ancient' games that have more character than anything recent has been able to match.

surely they are placeholders until they make models for the new gameplay
it's not that uncommon for original engine resources to be visible in early new game shots

Thanks for the vid. But yeah, its the ja3 offshoot/bastard child "Jazz"(man that's a dumb name). Still....looks decent enough to give it a try when its released. Not like we have tons to choose from in the genre. And seems ahelluvalot better than that Brigade 5 garbage. That game was just ugly to look at and had the shittiest interface of all ja2/ss clones out there.

Yeah, sounds dumb in english, but in russian the letter "Z" looks like a "3". And the short name for the JA series in russian is Ja (dzha). So JA3 in russian reads like "dzhaz" or jazz. Mistland named this project like that in order to make the COVER look similar and confuse the buyers:

Jazz
