VTY release is indeed working. RLD is no longer the best since VTY comeback. (runaway2 proper, switchfire, ...) RLD release is useless.

RLD proper is very technical and they are indeed correct - VTY cracker fixed SDK APIs incorrectly & forgot about trigger buffers. One day while you play your VTY release and you start wondering why your sim is pooping around - that would be the answer (previously introduced as disabled wall building).
VTY propers are just for the public, they "propered" something so tiny that RLD didn't even care, since there are tools already for fixing this w2k problem in cracks, even a kid with stupid hex editor could fix this manually and make a proper. "RestoreLastError" -> "SetLastError", done. So excuse me if I don't take your word and believe that VTY is even close to RLD.
