You didn't specify.

Also, it looks good, but you should've waited for the next gen of video cards, lots of problems with vista compatability, DX10 and said video cards.

If you went for a Quadcore, why didn't you go for a better mainboard, better RAM, and a better video card? If you are burning that much money on a top-of-the-line CPU, why not go for the best in all other classes?

MSI -> evga or asus
kingston -> 4gb ocz or corsair
gts -> gtx

Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards
Bravery is not a function of firepower.

Oblivion looks fantastic but it doesnt take advantage of the quad. The only game that I have found so far that does is Quake 4.
I got the quad so I could encode video and play at the same time which seems to work pretty well. I will prolly sell the 8800 later on and get 2 ATI DX10 cards when they come out.

yeah like i just posted in the other thread, quad core IS the way to go if your building a system to last a good long while. at the moment, most games and apps will run better with a dual or single core obviously, but the future IS in multi threaded apps... and yeah the other guys got a point... why not get the top of the line components.. a gts makes no real sense... if your running low on cash, just buy a low cost crap card.

im looking at getting that commando motherboard for my quad core... or are there any better suggestions for what i should get about 2 months from now? anyone? im aiming for a crossfire system so that'd need to be taken into account.
