  • Story/Description:
    Quote:
Exploring an alternative approach on World War II, one in which Hitler is assassinated in the early days, players will take command of experimental weapons, prototype vehicles and units rarely seen in strategy games in an attempt to re-write or secure the historical outcome.

War Front is a state-of-the-art WWII 3D RTS game providing fast-paced, adrenaline pumping conquests. Players will feel the atmosphere of WW2 in a new environment; besides commanding their existing units, they have to care about reinforcements, resource management and researching new prototypes.

Choose what missions to fight, what troops to use, and when to call in reinforcements. Completing objectives and capturing strategic locations such as train stations or airfields in each mission will help you to win subsequent campaigns. Each mission has multiple primary and secondary objectives that are connected to other missions, providing almost limitless strategic choices.

War Front is definitely not a 'historic simulation' but a game with FUN being its number one priority. Expect slightly excessive explosions. Realistic night mission feeling and visualization made with dynamic lighting 3 Campaigns with unique storylines:

  • Features:
    Quote:
    * Command US and UK troops through the historical Missions in the heart of Europe with the fictional opportunity to reach Berlin before the Red Army
    * Lead the German troops with the fictional option to assassinate Hitler, stop the D-Day invasion and stop the red army with the Secret Weapons of the Reich
    * Play the Russian campaign in the historical correct way and set the soviet flag on the Reichstag
    * Different gameplay of the three parties. Every party will have their own complete tech tree, upgrades, constructible buildings and units. They will all have their unique bonuses and weaknesses and will offer different gaming styles
    * 3D Units with physically Details. All units are 3D animated models
    * Super Weapons - WAR FRONT will provide a super-weapon for every nation
    * 3D First person view - There will be an upgrade which allows the player to look from a ground unit's view and control stationary weapons and fire with them

Wow.. Shocked Shocked Graphics ALMOST look as good as World In Conflict. Game also has a massive array of interesting sci-fi WW2 units per each of the 3 sides. Interesting... Thanks RLD for the release btw! Awesome job as always!

But have you actually played World In Conflict? I don't think you have..if you had seen the explosions and action running Im sure you would agree with me. And I don't mean some vids now but see the game actually running.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, Turning Point has great graphics - it's just that it's not as good looking as World In Conflict.

Edit: This one is a great game too btw.

They're not Sci Fi units. Every unit shown on the game was actually being developed by the Nazi's with different levels of success.

The nazis were developing anti gravity aswell, they had designed saucer shaped flying machines utilizing anti gravity 5 years before the Roswell crash where the "UFO's" became wknown worldwide...

Yeah,, you could say that.
I like it, but I have only played 2 missions yet.

My PC isn´t top of the line, but this game looks good and plays fine. You have one "Hero" that u can upgrade with xp points.

But nothing new or groundbreaking yet, but like I said only 2 missions played so far, so I hope for some surprises further into the game.

i like this game infact i think its one of the best RTS games in the last few years.
the sound is great , the graphics are nice , the explosions and other effects i think are really well done, the cutscenes are pretty cool to!

some of the mission briefings contain cheesy humour though.

worth the 6gb dload if you enjoy RTS games even if your on a shit connection imo
