I am running 2 Raptors in a 0 Raid + a WD 250 with 2 partitions.

Have been running O&O whole morning here and it seems to be stuck on 99%...for like 3 hours now (this is the WD 250 I am talking about now, 1st partition) It is doing something though, it keeps moving stuff around, but is it normal that it does that for hours?

I suspect that something might be fuked here so I am wondering what you guys would recommend me doing.

The WD 250 I only use as "data fodder" basically films, files and crap, not for XP etc. The system drive is on my Raptors.

Hm, sounds a bug to me... Contact O&O (if you have it legally) to see what might cause this.

I might add here that that last 1% is the "System Restore" file. the drive itself has like 0.14% fragmentation, so no biggy. But is it OK to just delete that Sys restore file? do I need it? I guess Leo is my man here as you seem to have a great deal of experience with XP/Vista in general.
And NO! its not a so called "legit" version of O&O Wink

Hmm... Maybe O&OD gets stuck because it can't move the system restore files - Windows won't let it. My advice generally is not to use system restore, lol, but that's just me. I guess if this is the only thing that doesn't get defragmented, it's OK for now, but when the drive(s) fills, and the restore points get aplenty, they will get in the way of proper defraging.
It's your call. I never had to deal with system restore shit because imo it's crap and never really helps, only bloats the hd.

Btw, Cox, your post count is >2000, but no VIP... What gives? Laughing

Cheers man, I think i will turn that crap off and bin the file and give O&O another go, never use it anyway. I have Acronis True Image to back up my Sys drive, never bothered to back up my "storage" drives anyway.

Yea 2000 it is...and no VIP in sight MAN! thats a let down...I am so disillusioned now Sad
