Nice to finally have the correct english version instead of a translation though there's probably not that many differences between them aside from the obvious changes in the 1.04 version number compared to the 1.02 version.
Made a mistake by using a old key but that made everything german again so I had to use the keygen, hope fade won't cause problems becuase of that but we'll se in the next patch. (Guess a blacklist of the key in the NFO is going to happen)
Kinda hate that the options are locked though but I suppose it's better with more powerfull hardware.
(Most options can only be set to low or normal aside from shadows, fixed that with the cfg but increasing view distance above 1000 messed up world detail to very low even though values around 25000 and 50000 looked good it probably would have killed performance with that extra detail)
Good game though even aside from minor stuff like that.
(Not that far in the game though but I like it)

What in gods name are you talking about? It looks brilliant. Amazing even. Oblivion isn't even that good and it doesn't have the scope nor the amount or variance of units on display here.
Some people.
Yes it's rough around the edges but it's still an amazing game to look at - maybe you just don't have it set up correctly?

This is the ONE and ONLY Battlefield 2 killer in Multiplayer until next Christmas so go and put your Oblivion in your holes, because this game is something like Supreme Comander in RTS. Based on REAL experience and warfare. GFX takes the 2nd place. Btw: U need newest HW to play game in this quality as posted above.

Gameplay, seen it in OPF already.
Scalability, same as above.
Graphics, absolutely not.
Really, it's just an extension of OPF (a bigass one at that, but still). |

I don't know what people expect from a realistic tactical shooter... The graphics look great for that kind of a game (too bad I can't play it on my shity rig, oh well... soon comes the real thing).

You are absolutely right, to a certain degree. Armed Assault is practically identical but it also houses many gameplay improvements (not least the campaign mode allowing for branches/side missions).

dunno...i played it for hour +-..graphic is ok (dunno if the best ,but i loved the view)
gameplay is too realistic for me and sometimes strange and i mean, when i snipe soldiers that stand with no movement, i had to spend full magazine to kill one damn soldier..now this is not realistic, this is bug (and i am not bling and use g5 mouse)
also thing that made me mad a bit is the climbing a ladder animation..the hands are in the air pretending like holding the ladder..i mean come on...this is 2007.
i understood the idea of the game..be more realistic army sim...but i am not sure they did it well.

This isn't BF2 you dimwitted nut. ArmA accounts for wind, ballistics, gravity, etc. - sniping actually takes some thought, not just twitching at the right moment.
