yeh same here 'start > black screen > back to desktop' and 2 other buddies are facing the same issue even we have different os: win2ksp3, win2ksp4 and xp pro. 4.9 cat. r9600xt, r9800pro and r9500pro.
the reloaded nocd seems pretty useless (nuke?) since its still asking for the cd.
im too tired to keep trying for now, maybe someone found a solution or the problem when i get up ;)

it doesn't seem to be the fault of the crack. Maybe it works if we use the advised catalyst 4.8 :/

so at least its not a radeon only problem
what chipsets do u have...here its nforce 2
I'm downloading latest nforce drivers now
EDIT: still not working with forceware 5.1
one thing i noticed:
whn i choose analyse system from the battlefront launcher, it does not recognise my soundcard.
i use the internal nforce2 sound.

what are your soundcards ?
mins is common Sound Blaster Live Value with up-to-date drivers, and SWB system analyser (in help menu) doesn't validate it :/

emGee: it doesn't seem to be a sound problem as i've desactivated my main soundcard and activated my mobo one, i passed the system analysis test, but it was still exiting.
the game seems buggy as hell :/

It is happened to me too, anyways it-s an awesome game. The single player it's very good, I can't imagine the real multiplayer.

mutti : either you downloaded a corrupted iso, either your HD is going faulty, or you made a bad burn.

Duek4Ever, I have redownloaded the game several times with the same results.
Random crc errors. Done the classical hd wipe & clean. Am out of options.

im having the same problem with the game crashing on the install. Its not my HD because I tried it on 2 HDs. It always crashes in the same spot and freezes up my pc. I tried to redownload the game also twice with the same results. I tried to use daemon and also Alcohol 120 with no luck. Somethings gotta be wrong but dont know what.
