Gameplay is great but the campaign (story, acting, whatnot) is mediocre at best unfortunately.

Is there a way for the camera view to stay put after releasing space?

Patch imroves avg. framerates if preftest by about 7 or so... On my dual core anyways...
Also includes a smaller UI, but i find myself oddly content with the original.
Now all they need to do is fix the sound problems... If you enable /nosound, the game literly doubles in framerate...

I gorra say I'm so disappointed with this game, it's just brain dead throw loads of meaningless units at the enemy's load of meaningless units. At least with TA, there was some tactics and strategy involved.
I don't know what has earned it such good scores in the review market, I would only give it a generous 2.5 out of 10, not even worth the install. And YES, 2stepsteve it's near as boring as watching paint dry.

Sorry. I disagree and agree with all the good reviews.
BUT... to each his own.
To me... it plays just like TA. In fact, I think there are more tactical options in this than there were in TA. Course, I have been playing multi player a lot too so...

That's not strange at all. Sound processing takes up your computers resources too.

Thought the same, until I played agains a Supreme AI (skirmish game), that was quite challenging

It is when you have an espensive dedicated soundcard, there really shouldn't be much of an impact.

For fuck sakes....
how the hell do you MAKE a unit attack a friendly building? I captured a building I was supposed to destroy and I can not, for the life of me, get my units to attack it.
Also, how do you terminate your own units or recycle them?

Try reclaiming (E) the building with your engineers, and the same goes for your units as well I guess.

I have killed everything on this map for the 2nd mission of the red guys (whatever their names are) where you ahve to find the tech in the temples. Friggin thing won't go to the next part or next mission. Guess Ill have to restart and try again.
I literally have the whole map uncoverd and have euther captured or destroyed all enemy buildings but it doesnt progress.

well the AI in the beta obviously wasn't finished... it was incomplete and too hard for the average player. It's like AI in a shooter that only does headshots in it's early version and later gets easier.
The AI in beta probably cheated and whatnot, and this game is really made for multiplayer, that's where it shines, not single player crap. You probably don't know that because you only downloaded it and can't play it online as you don't have a valid key.
If you think one AI is too easy for you, then play against 2, or 3, or 4.

Are you kidding me? I killed the Supreme AI with about 10 planes... It's incredibly easy, not at all like it was in the beta. |
Umm, using planes to destroy the commander is not what I call beating them, that's exploiting a major weakness
