Hey, so I got that new rig, specs again:

e6600 core 2duo (AI overclocked by 20%)
2gb kingston
8800GTX EVGA (not superclocked)
Thermaltake Shark
Thermaltake 600W

I've been playing company of heroes and i'm going thru some difficulties.

1. After finishing the first mission, just when I'm about to begin the 2nd one, I get a blue screen of death, and I find out my GPU temperature is at 67C (haven't checked it while running the game). what could be causing this?

2. Secondly, I'm running everything on ultra where possible, maxed out, the game is pretty smooth at the normal camera angle, but when I shift it to like full 3d and get a more 3rd person'ish look, I get drops to like 25-30'ish!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've read about exact same rigs getting 130 stable FPS, and obviously not to mention no overheating.

Also, 3dmark(06) gave me a 9000 score, wth?!

First, DO NOT use AI overclocking. It is shit. Usually it OC's your PCIE bus speeds and that is a bad thing, little gain for lots of heat. I don't trust overclocking when it is done automatically, neither should you. Either do it manually or don't do it at all-your rig is fine enough as is.

Secondly you will get higher temps. Mid 60's is normal, even high 60's. The new g80 chip runs hot. So if you set everything back to normal and still runs hot, don't worry about it. Just as long as it doesn't freeze during long gaming sessions, should be fine.

Yeah but, c'mon...9000 3dmarks?! I remember a guy with a 7950 getting 13k, then again he was using 2 raptors (with a somewhat outdated top-end AthlonXP simultaneously.)

What's y'all's 3dmark score?

Plus, I still can't handle my FPS dropping below the 70's ... Laughing
