Because Jade Empire's dialogue isn't about grabbing collars and shouting at your subordinates faces.

PostPosted: Thu, 1st Mar 2007 06:11    Post subject: didn't know what to expect, but it topped my expectations...
first impressions left me very pleased with this...
install took ~10mins (lil slow, but eh)
game loads and runs INCREDIBLY SMOOTH/FAST @ max details (6800gs) Very Happy
since i only have one stick on my gamepad i couldnt use that (no camera movement), so i was forced to use KB/M... which i initially planned to use anyways... however, i just WISH they would have allowed you to use the mouse buttons for movement!... why on earth would they block that!?!?!, i always move forward with the right mouse button... really really lame, but i found an alternative in the left shift button
sofar so good... anyone who expected a shitty port... think again Smile
this game loads so friggen fast its unreal!... i guess that's why it takes 7gigs on your drive tho Smile
no other issues encountered sofar, lookin forward to a fun week with a new game
reccomended Wink

Shame that they do not even sound Chinese when they talk, feels almost as awesome as an old Jackie Chan movie, not awesome at all.

Played through it once on Xbox but I thought I'd see how it runs on my aging PC with an FX5900. Surprisingly, its smooth with the 30 fps cap even on full settings. I thought they'd beef up the visuals a bit since its been so long now but I guess its closer to a port with a few extras. I was the goody two shoes the first time around so its badass ftw this time Very Happy

you saying the game is capped at a jerky 30fps? surely not.
again is there any reason why this wouldnt work on x64>i wouldnt have thought so but one of Zerstorers posts suggest that.

Anyone using a 5.1 speaker system and noticing that the sound is only coming from the 2 front speakers? Sometimes during a cutscene the voice over will get played through all speakers for just 1 sentence then it goes back to just 2. Kind of annoying. Im hoping this is just a bug that will get fixed, though if it's intentional, combined with the lack of sound options, then im dissapointed with the audio so far.

Also i got this version of JE through PacSteam...is there any risk of this copy getting corrupted or locked or whatever if i just leave it be and dont bother with a crack?

Others have suggested that you copy the jade empire folder from steamapps/youraccount/common/ to another folder and then apply the crack. (Better safe than sorry)

Yeah. Jade Empire on Xbox had a drunken fighting style, so it's safe to say the PC version will have it too.

Also, it has a Taekwondo-Muay Thai-mix style! Awesome!

i read also something about that the drunken style is limited ,you need to have bottles of wine to get this crazy style.
