Ahhh patch is on the way..in next 2 days should be released..cant wait...game is running smooth here ,but in the cities lags...patch 1.05 sholud fix lot of problems, interface, and add some new stuff...regarding online play-yup there are lot of retards who think this is another FPS game and dont know how to play or just want to have best score...fuck that...if u wanna good online play, like coop u should visit BI Forums and join to the some clan..there are many now...they have own password protected servers, and guys are great team players, tactical and supporting...i enjoy to play coop with them ...regarding ArmA campaign-it sux,OFP (CWC,Red Hammer and Resistance) campaigns were much much better,i stoped to play ArmA campaign in November and forced myself and finished it in December....only good thing that was promised is possibility to play whole camapign in coop (like in System Shock 2) ,but they dropped that idea unfortunately.

Can any one tell where i could find the best info place to learn how to create your own mission. Or better yet to download mission files that aren't locked. Until know i had no luck opening the .pbo files so i can take a look at them in the edit mode.

Official forum: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard311/ikonboard.cgi?s=72ae815eaac8345c74bcb6f57d9a081b;act=SC;c=14 ...u can find everything here regarding ArmA.
To open .pbo's and bin files use ArmA tools (Unpbo,Depbo,UnBin=Converts binarized addon configuration files used in Armed Assault to human readable config.cpp format.).
News about a patch v1.05:
"Unfortunately, we experience a slight delay of version 1.05.
We apologize for the delay. Our current plan is to release on Friday March 2nd. More news coming soon. "

no shit...same as operation flashpoint..they are simulators,(NOT run 'n' gun games like half life 2,BF2),they rely on realism |
I get enough realism with my real life...

Shitty game. Just like flashpoint was. And to call it a simulator is simply ignorant. Sorry, don't mean to flame though.

Haha what is a simulator to you then? You need those fancy VR goggles to call it a simulator? Cuz if this game isn't a simulation, FSX sure isnt and every other game that tries to 'simulate' one thing or another isnt one either.

Heh.. It's a game yes. But a simulator, hell no. No video game can 'simulate' real combat IMO. No matter how many tactical aspects it has, that's all I'm saying.

Well, you're arguing semantics because the core of this game is used by the armed forces as a 'simulator'. At the end of the day - as far as real combat goes - Operation Flashpoint and Armed Assault are the most realistic in the best moments and the most stupid in their worst. You need to download the best singleplayer missions, and try this game online with real people who aren't run and gunners.

I think that was Americas Army. And not for training but for recruiting. You honestly don't think that soldiers sit around and play this game for combat training? But whatever. You like the game, I don't. Simple as that.

Actually i believe he is on about VBS1 and the soon to be released VBS2 which is actually used for training purposes in a war like environment. VBS is built from the same technology used within operation flashpoint and VBS2 is built around the same tech used in armed assault. Both VBS1 and VBS2 are developed by Bohemia Interactive the same people behind OPF and ArmA.

Yes that's right

I'm not extolling the virtues of it being used as a simulator, I'm simply saying it is used as a simulator and that your argument is therefore flawed. Semantics aside what other game is more deserving of the tag of simulator?

None, when talking about combat simulation. Other than that I do like GRAW.
