Question is how much time it usualy takes(with games that people like much and want to play) when the game is availeble in torrents or smth? |
1 hour, 21 minutes, 51 seconds.

Depends on what day it is, on saturdays it might take 5 seconds less, sundays 10 seconds more

Depends on the site or service you are using to download it.
Usually it's uploaded to what I suppose are ftp servers requiring special access that only a few people have, after that some bot program in IRC or similar check the server and announces those [Pre] messages to the users in that channel wich I'd guess is how people know that new stuff is available and from there it's being downloaded and re-uploaded to other sites and formats such as usenet, torrents or semi private ftp sites.
It doesn't really take that much time for the files to be distributed across the internet though again it depends on the site or service you are using.
(Open torrent sites and share programs being among the slower while Usenet and ftp are quite fast)
Not really that important though, it's available when it's available.
(Since I don't really have that high "access" I don't really know to much about this either)

Maybe someone could give me a helping hand, basically, i can run my computer overnight runnin any media file whether it be DVD or AVI/MPEG but, as soon as i fire up things like cnc3 demo, after about roughly, a game/game an a half, my system locks up, doesnt restart, i have to do it manually, but it just goddamn locks up, with the audio stuttering for about 5 seconds, then no sound, just motionless, an cant do anything, not even ctl+alt+del just locks up, im in the middle of changing gx drivers, any other solutions would be great,
Rig :
MSI K9N SLI Platinum (AM2)
AMD X2 4600+
Geforce 6800XT PCI-E
580W PSU
2GIG Corsair Twinmx RAM 800MHz (Dual Channel)
Thanks in advance
Peace V.H.

YOU CAN PLAY AS NOD!
Press the key cooresponding to the first letter in the side's name or AI Type (N for Nod, R for Rusher) and click on the side/type you're pressing the key for. Then you'll have selected the other sides and ai types to play with!
For Example: You want to play as Nod. Hold down N and click on Nod in the side selection drop down. It really works! |
Your only like 5 pages late :d |
and also the page before this one..and I think the ones before that one.
This is exactly why I haven't played a demo since late 90's, I hate being given a portion of something then not being able to enjoy the rest of it for month(s) to come

Probably graphics card overheating. Check your temps after half an hour of intense gaming.

Nah the game is so much "run of the mill" that it isn't impressive at all and everything in it has been seen before, theres nothing about the game which would make me buy it as I already have Supreme Commander and my time is best spent with that game both gaming and modding efforts.

Not trying to turn this into a vs topic, but C&C3 has what Supreme Commander is missing: a really great single player campaign. I love the gameplay in SC, but for the love of games, the single player campaign is a big stinker.

Sure go ahead and enjoy the vids and whatnot C&C3 offers in the SP campaign meanwhile I will enjoy immense epic multiplayer battles on GPGNet with Supreme Commander

As I have stated earlier really no use to compare the two. Bigger scale combat and quite a different gameplay experience compared the C&C 3 which offers a full blown single player campaign, fast paced multiplayer. Also to say this has all been seen before well this is what the community wants: A CNC3 game, which goes back to the roots with both its history and gameplay.

Sure but then again they've changed so much about the atmosphere for me to "feel at home" so to speak, I'm refering to the music and hollywood style camera/interface, anyway this is fairly subjective I know, each to his own eh

Huh, they use assets from bf2142 in c&c3? I find that seriously hard to believe. Since when did DICE share their asset-pool with anybody?

Basically, i played SupCom alot i mean, non-stop skirmishes, an now jumped on to CNC3 it did feel different at first (considering all that time i spent in SupCom with the zoom capabiilties) but i soon adapted an felt that CNC reunion, i'm not comparing them at all, because of one reason, they are both great, well established games, so comparison is just not applicable in my opinion,
