so you might be able to insert it by hand, but if it checks up on the net you might be screwed so I advised not letting the game connect, pull your net while you try or something. |

Do you think that the additional 30$ you mention are manufacturing costs? The cd-key you need to play online in order to fully enjoy the game is part of the development cost, so if you want a cd-key, just buy the game already.

anyone have problems to force anti aliasing in test drive unlimited ?
cant force AA in the game all other games works AA+AF fine ....
AMD Phenom II x4 3ghz, Nvidia 460 GTX 1gb DDR3,4gb DDR3, Win 10

It uses HDR, and with that 6600GT of yours, you can't have HDR+AA in the same time. |

Hm... Strange, X1900 allows HDR+AA... On my 8800GTX it runs with both.

When I try to start Yasu (both 1.07 and 1.06) it sort of freezes the PC, except that I can move the mouse but not click anything. The only way to restart the pc is to hard reset it since ctrl+alt+delete does not work. System is:
xp (media center) with sp 2
AMD x2 5000+
2gb ram
7900gtx with 6.14 drivers
When I try Yasu on my other (oldish) pc it works as intended but that pc cant run TDU. Well it can but it is like playing a slideshow. System on old pc is:
xp pro, sp2
p4, 2.8
1gb ram
fx5900 ultra, 6.14 drivers
Is there another program besides Yasu that I could use that might work or does anyone have any other suggestion?

testdrive workin fine here.. only question is when will there be new cars available like the lexus and the countach??? ive read something about car-pack's but dont know if thats right?

Useless... not. You can fully enjoy the offline part of the game, and should you decide that you like it and want to take it on-line, you get your legit cd-key and go online. The offline part of the game is still big enough to give you quite a few hours of fine driving.
...or to wait for the game to be delivered Monday because you ordered it effing Thursday night.

@ CostelD: It IS true that you can't get all the extras (if any) for winning all the multiplayer races and stuff. It's a game that rewards you both for your off-line and your on-line records and achievements, seperately.
In a few words, to get it 100% complete, you must have an online profile.

Well, I agree with the developers on this one. I know we are all greedy bastards and want developers smart enough to make great games but at the same time stupid enough to give us all the goodies for free, but EDEN gave the pirates some incentive to buy this game, by making some extras unlockable only if you have an online profile and race against others, which of course requires you to have a legit cd-key. It's not the first game that has this, and I really enjoyed the multiplayer part of the game during the Open Beta. The AI racers are nothing compared to the skill of some and stupidity of others online. That's what's fun about this game, as well as any other online enabled game.

This does NOT work, it still asks for activation and fails.

Go to the "My Documents\Test Drive Unlimited\<your username>" folder and make a new one called Radio there. Every sub-directory you make will be a new radio station, just put a few mp3's in those folders (shortcuts work too if you're almost out of disk space). |
