Man, I really want to like this game. I remember my days playing Operation Flashpoint with some killer LAN and Singleplayer episodes and want to relive these moments with this game and I have installed and uninstalled it many times and downloaded several version, tried different tweaks, tried it on several different PCs and I'm about to give up on it. Click uninstall, delete and throw the disc into the garbabge and never download it again. Here are my issues with arma:
1. Graphics don't seem to be optimized.
I've run the game on several PCs including AMD X2 +4400 @ 2.4Ghz, 7900GT Sli, 2gb RAM and Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.0 Ghz, 8800GTX, 2gb RAM and the game runs like crap. No matter what settings I try and no matter what tweaking I do I still get pretty crappy performance. The explosions are just missing, cars will just turn to fire, there is no inbetween animations. Textures and skins will take a second or two to load, so when I scan the scenary there be a second or two where Im just looking at ugly textures before they finally load.
2. THe AI is shit. It takes AI 30 minutes to try to figure out how to move in a straight line. My team will run straight into enemy gunfire with no regard for their own lives. Most of the time they don't even shoot back just standing around making easy targets of themselves. While on the otherhad the enemy will shoot me dead on the spot even before I see them.
3. Stupid FADE! If it wasn't for reasons 1 and 2 I may buy the game but because 1 and 2 are soooooo bad I would never buy this game. But trying out the pirated version is impossible due to the aiming bug... unless this too is a performance problem. I play the campaign until I get to the Sniper mission and I can't hit anyone, my bullets are way off where I put them. I used the hatred version with the v1.05 patch and crack and used razor keygen. So its either FADE or the game is so damn crappy that you can't even put a bullet within 20 meters of where it's intended target.
Sorry to rant a bit, but no game have I wanted to play so badly and pissed me off so much as this one. Wonder if anyone else here playing it had similar experience.

3. learn to aim , bullet travels not in a straight line in real life , its NOT CS or any crapy shooter if you know that fact you will hit your target

No damonika12, I think you misunderstood him. With the Fade copy protection of version 1.05 activated you can't hit anything. I am a hardcore tactical FPS gamer and when Fade is activated you might as well close your eyes because the chances of hitting what you are aiming at is 5% at best.
Can't wait for it to be released in North America. Gonna buy this one.
