I just had to repair my Windows installation on my primary hdd. However, after doing this, Windows does not recognise my second hdd and says that it's not formatted. I've got a good amount of movies and series that I really don't want to have to re-download, anyone know what to do?

I rather not reinstall windows (I will have to soon enough, because it's very slow, but can't be arsed to do it now. Got quite a lot of things I want to keep on this hdd aswell)
When I double-click on my 2nd hdd in My Computer it says: "The disk in unit I is not formatted.
Do you want to format it now?
Yes No"

The disc is probably damaged, I had the same situation with one of my discs... I pluged it in on a comp that is working and used a recovery program. I got all the music and stuff on it. After you recover everything you want, you can formatt it but it isn't safe to use the disc anymore...

I doubt that the disk is damaged. You probably left your second hd connected while doing the repair and now windows cannot read the data on the second disk. The data should still be there unless you formatted the 2nd drive while the repair.

Right-click on My Computer and select Manage. Select Disk Management in the Storage section and on the right hand side you should be able to access the second drive. If you can't copy the files that way then you should try what someone suggested. Connect the drive to a different computer (running XP preferably) and retrieve warez Razz.

If that doesn't work then I'm afraid the only option left is to try some partition recovery program. You should use it only as a last resort. I myself have no experience with recovering but I suggest you read up good on the subject before you attempt anything.
