Yes this won't ruin the game but still why is it so hard to make a somewhat realistic action, action-adventure or RPG game in medieval times without fantasy or sci-fi crap?? It seems no developer wants to make such a game. I already hated the steam powered lights and robots in Thief.
Actually having it relate to genetic memories would make sense. When I watched the trailer the women mentioned something about memories and then said "oh, but I can't talk about that". So it's probably true.

why does this not come out on the PC at the same time as with the consoles?! Who's gonna actually buy a 360 just to play assasins creed?... why limit the sales so?! WHY?!
well...how about those who already got a 360, the huge mass of people that's why. Theres more people with a 360 to run the game than their is people with a comptuer that's going to be able to play it. Sounds more smart to me but shitty on our end who has a good rig.

It isn't easy making sure your game is compatible with a PC. There's thousands of combinations of hardware on it. That is the problem with games on PC, and nother reason why consoles are now bigger than it.
And here's another one: it will cost me $400 to play this game on the 360, but up in the thousands to play it at highest settings on a PC.

Of course, but what you do as a game developer is making sure your stuff works at mainstream configurations first like say the 6 latest nvidia and ati cards and the 3 latest processors out of amd/intel and then you just optimize it to your chosen api.
It's really no problem for "big" game developers but a tough job for those who have to fund themselves like independents.
